Cartari Cafe In Palermo

It was a casual and wonderful surprise. We were looking some place to eat at 11 pm and even though they were about to close the kitchen they were very kind and prepared some delicious Sicilian dishes for us, with fresh and authentic ingredients. We ate Pasta alla Norma and Polpette di melanzana. Also make sure you try delicious homemade mint liquor! Great ambience and good music. Thank you very much for a lovely dinner.

We had dinner in this recently opened restaurant, which intrigued us a lot due to the very nice industry decor, we ate in peace, a welcoming and very quiet environment, the dishes were excellent, we made a selection of starters because we were very curious , the aubergine polettes are highly recommended, but in first place are the anchovy crostini with garlic butter and the super fresh jellies which gave an intoxicating balance to those crostini, really worth trying!!! pasta alla norma a MUST to try as a typical Sicilian dish, not to mention the vast range of beers for all tastes. We will definitely make it a regular stop when we return to Palermo!!! The guys are very kind, a very helpful and approachable couple.

Our first time/night in Palermo, staying in the Kalsa area. We set out around 11pm to find something to eat. Most kitchens were closed but the bars were alive and full. Saw a sign outside of this place for pizza and walked in. Owner, a young man, greeted us warmly and showed us a menu in English. We opted to sit outside for the street theater, seated on straw mats and carpets with small step stool height tables for food & drink. Quickly our server came out and was equally charming and helpful. We ordered a bottle of Sicilian wine, the grillo grape, and eggplant parm. Everything was delicious and crazy affordable! When we went in to pay we struck a delightful conversation with our server about travel, learning new languages etc. She offered us a shot of homemade limoncello and welcomed us to Palermo! We were tired from travel and had gotten some troubling family news before looking for some food. We couldn’t have landed in a better spot to help introduce us to this area. Highly recommend!

Delicious dishes and an ideal climate to spend a special evening immersed in the historic center of Palermo, dishes that are not predictable, innovative, light and refined; The anchovy crostini with jellied ones which give a unique emotion to the palate is highly recommended! Optimal!

Local immersed in the heart of the historic center of Palermo. Managed by welcoming and friendly staff, the restaurant offers an excellent variety of wines and presents a delicious food menu. Highly recommended for a pleasant evening where you can feel pampered by friends and the venue staff!

Everything was top notch, we ate very well and everything was prepared quickly. The staff is super nice and friendly. The selection of drinks is varied. Super recommended

We discovered this little place by chance during a tour of Palermo: the menu is written on a blackboard and changes often. We had a butter and anchovy crostini and a fresh pasta alla norma: delicious in their simplicity and excellent quality/price ratio. The drinks were very good and the atmosphere was super thanks to the kindness of the owners.

We been here two nights now for drinks and they make really great drinks. Can recommend the margarita sour.
