Splendid restaurant-farmhouse in an idyllic setting a few steps from Lake Bolsena, with a first-rate gastronomic offer. Worth mentioning are the homemade fresh pasta first courses and the wild boar stew. Net of the TheFork discount (correctly applied), the prices are not exactly cheap; but it can be said that in such a context it is money well spent.

Good farmhouse where you can enjoy dishes with high quality raw materials. The cheese starter was really plentiful for 2 people, accompanied by 2 homemade jams (the onion one was really excellent) and savory "butter and parmesan" biscuits. The first and second courses were excellent: maltagliati with white ragù from the Porcocignale breed, as well as braised fillet from the same animal, accompanied by 2 sauces and green beans. In closing, I tried the semifreddo with lemon and extra virgin olive oil produced by them, and despite the skepticism about the combination I was pleasantly enchanted by the mix of perfectly balanced flavours, as well as by the beautiful plating.
Very slow service starting from the water and starter arriving culpably late, but the wait for the first and second courses was justified as they were truly fresh and of good quality.
Classic farmhouse environment, with cute cats attached.

We tasted an appetizer of pecorino and goat's cheeses served with jams and lard biscuits, all home-made.
Then tasted two first courses, a carbonara and a white ragout of pork from Cignale, all accompanied by a red house wine also produced by them.
Location from another time.
EVERYTHING EXCELLENT.
A shame not to stop if in the area.

I was in this restaurant for dinner on 08/18/24 with friends. I ordered a mixed starter of cured meats and a first course of Maltagliati with their characteristic wild boar pork. To drink we ordered a bottle of red wine (all the wines they have are from their own production). I found the quality of the food excellent and the portions generous. The service was quick and very helpful. I found the bathrooms clean and tidy with everything needed for hygiene. The location is truly fascinating with a very large garden and in the summer it is also possible to use the swimming pool. Good value for money. Owner kind and available for any information. I highly recommend trying it.
