Caro Commendatore In Montefiascone

I chose this structure because it is close to the Via Francigena and I liked the photos of the place, in fact when you arrive by bike it is very suggestive. The welcome was good and we immediately settled into the rooms and I was able to rest because I was very tired and the place is quiet. Dinner was as good as breakfast; the staff is kind and attentive to requests

I had been there a few years ago and had good memories. The restaurant is located inside a very suggestive 16th century estate where most of the products are prepared and then put on the table. certainly their specialty is porco-cignale, a hybrid that gives the meat a more delicate flavor than wild boar itself but more succulent than pork. They serve it in all its forms, from cured meats, to meat-based first courses and second courses and I must say that I liked everything. The portions are really generous even if the price is slightly high it is fully compensated, furthermore we had the fork discount so we spent very little. Quality products and at km0 given that a lot of it, even the wine, is they produce on the estate. yesterday it was just us and honestly I can't explain why since the food is good, so I highly recommend you try it!

Farmhouse in the heart of the Tuscia countryside also used as a farm with rooms. The owner is very welcoming and explains the predominantly organic and native origin of the products offered. Rustic but well-kept and clean place. I had dinner with my wife based on a platter of cold cuts, mostly from the PorcoCignale (ask them to explain the origin of this pig!!) raised by them, first courses and desserts: all very good. In addition to their ham, the bacon that melts in your mouth deserves a special mention.

Absolutely worth trying! Very nice location and elegant interior. The dishes are all worth trying, clearly the wild boar reigns supreme but there are also many dishes with the company's products. Careful plating and generous portions. Compliments to the lady in the room for her friendliness and kindness. Highly recommended!
