This dinner was an incredible culinary experience. The idea of ​​combining meat with sushi specialties is brilliant, and the result was astonishing. Every bite was an explosion of flavors and textures. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something truly original and delicious.

I would have given everything a 5—the food is truly excellent and the place is well-maintained—but the service was beyond reproach. We waited 45 minutes before getting up and deciding to go to the cashier to pay. We waited in vain trying to order dessert, but there was absolutely no one in the room, and everyone was just sitting around doing nothing, not caring about the table. Even the owner was more interested in chatting than serving our table, making us feel completely out of place. We'll definitely be back for the quality of the food, hoping to find service to match.

Please note the meat cuts in the BBQ specials are minimum 1Kg. Meat was flavored but not the best I had (we tried the elite grill). The picanha was average in flavor and tenderness.

Carnivori is a fantastic brasserie and a great choice for anyone who appreciates high-quality meat. The standout feature is definitely the excellent meat quality – everything we tried was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. A special highlight was the meat sushi, which was both creative and absolutely delicious. It’s something you don’t come across often and definitely worth trying. Service was smooth and overall the experience was very enjoyable. The only minor point for improvement would be the ambiance. While it’s perfectly fine, a bit more attention to atmosphere and interior design could really elevate the overall dining experience. Conclusion: Outstanding meat dishes and a unique concept – highly recommended, especially for meat lovers.

We didn't find the interior very cozy and started our dinner somewhat skeptically. We arrived at 7:30 and were the only ones there at that time. We recommend making a reservation around 8:30, as there is more atmosphere then. We ordered various appetizers, which were very tasty. The main course was also very delicious, although we found the pasta carbonara a bit disappointing. Unfortunately, many of the items we wanted to order were unavailable, so we had to choose something else, for both food and drinks. The service is very nice and friendly. Ultimately, we were very pleasantly surprised by the restaurant.

What's immediately striking is the professionalism of the staff: an incredibly empathetic and knowledgeable team, capable of making you feel pampered from the first to the last moment with a warm yet never intrusive welcome. This attention to detail is also reflected in the impeccable cleanliness of the premises, which creates a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The strong point remains the unbeatable value: fresh ingredients, carefully prepared dishes, and intense flavors at absolutely fair prices for the quality of the offering. All this is complemented by an ideal location, perfect for enjoying a stroll among the beauties of Lecce's Baroque architecture immediately after your meal. A true gem that never disappoints!
17/03/2026: Very elegant restaurant but we were disappointed by the food. Gracious service. I had pasta with lobster which was quite nice. The sauce ofolive oil and cherry tomato was light and bright. The tail had been loosened from the shell but it was difficult to get at any other meaty bits as no special implements were provided nor finger bowls. I expect diners here are too elegant to wrestle with their shellfish. My companion had grilled swordfish which was dry. The steaks were very thin, less than a centimetre thick. That’s likely a management decision which makes the work of the kitchen staff near impossible. We ordered two contorni. Grilled mixed vegetables were tough and dry for the most part. Partly the consequence of slicing courgettes and aubergines too thinly. Partly the decision to over-grill resulting in a good looking dish at the expense of tenderness. There was a bottle of olive provided that helped. No seasoning. The other dish of aubergine salad was tasty and well seasoned from capers but served stone cold straight from the fridge. It could have been improved by serving slightly chilled or at room temperature.

MATISSE

03/05/2026: We ate here on Labor Day (a national holiday in Italy). Because Italians mainly celebrate this day with family and friends around lunchtime, we, along with two other tourist couples, were the only guests in this restaurant. That was a shame for the atmosphere. No Italian family coziness. Anyway, we had a delicious meal! The two waiters were attentive, spoke English, and did their job well (we did have to pour the wine ourselves from the bottle, but that didn't matter). It is a beautiful place with a lovely terrace as well for the warm summer evenings that are sure to come.
19/04/2026: A superb restaurant, which in France would be considered a bistro. It was quiet out of season, the service was very pleasant, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was delicious.
