A somewhat disappointing experience. The service was courteous, but the dishes were neither outstanding in quality nor presentation. The fish was frozen. It's a shame, I had better memories of this restaurant. The location needs updating.

Nice traditional place, perfect for casual dinner. Very good antipasti, wide choice of primo e secondo and also the pizza.

Dinner with a group of friends, a carefully prepared pizza with the option of either thick or flatbread, using carefully measured, fresh ingredients. The menu also features traditional soups, followed by fish-based options.

I've been stopping for dinner for over 10 years now when I'm in the area for work... I can't say more than that.

We ordered two vegetable pizzas. We were asked to remove an ingredient from one of them because we didn't like it. We didn't ask to replace it with something else, but it would have been fair to increase the quantity of the other two vegetables (there are three in total). Instead, not only were they not enough, but we were also charged full price. It's a shame because the pizza is good, but I don't think it's fair.

Good value. Business lunch, with a first course, second course, and side dish, plus water and coffee: €15

Very delicious food, large portions. They brought it out relatively quickly. Nice service. Thank you very much!

Good pizza in a historic place in San Giovanni

We stumbled upon Carlo's by chance: we were in San Giovanni in Persiceto on our way to another pizzeria that we found closed. Initially, I was a little annoyed by the fact that all the seats inside were taken, but then I changed my mind because the noise inside was truly deafening; I would have been irritated. When we ordered, we were informed there would be a 30-35 minute wait, and oh well, we had an aperitif in the meantime. The pizza arrived on time, it was good, and I was able to take the leftovers home. We didn't order dessert because it wasn't big enough. I saw some really tempting fish dishes passing by, and I almost regretted having ordered pizza. We appreciated the professionalism of the staff, especially the "matron." I also appreciated the cleanliness of the restrooms; the space is a bit cramped, but it serves its purpose. I definitely recommend it. Unfortunately, I'm not in the habit of taking pictures of my food, but the pizza was really beautiful and good.
