11/03/2025: Il Piccolo Buco is a charming pizzeria in the heart of Rome, just a few steps from the Trevi Fountain. Right from the start, I have to say that this place impresses above all with the exceptional quality of its ingredients, thanks to which even the simplest composition can surprise.
There was a queue waiting in front of the restaurant and Dear Reader, get ready for a minimum of 30 minutes of waiting - but I would like to point out that it decreases very quickly. The pizza was served to us about 5 minutes after placing the order! The dough is fluffy on the edges, at the same time it can crunch nicely, the rest is also correct. The base is excellent, and the cheeses are of the highest quality. What was described, combined with super nice service, gave an amazing final effect. As a curiosity, I will add that they use an oven that is over 100 years old to bake pizza!
To sum up, Il Piccolo Buco is a place that every lover of real Italian pizza should visit during their stay in the Eternal City. 🍕🇮🇹
05/03/2025: I waited in line for around 45 minutes at this famous pizza spot in Rome, even though it was past the busy lunch hour. As a first-time visitor, I can confirm the pizza was excellent and definitely worth trying—it felt like a quintessential Rome experience. That said, I later stumbled upon other pizza places that were just as delicious, if not better, without the long wait. While this place lives up to its reputation, don’t feel like you *have* to queue for ages when there are equally fantastic options nearby!
