Defensive tower from 1600 which, like many historical-cultural and landscape assets in this part of the region, is a site that could be much better maintained. However, also thanks to the presence of small nearby accommodation facilities, the situation in the surrounding area has improved quite a bit compared to a few years ago. Not visitable.

The place is beautiful, there are two small beaches, one with a lido and adjoining bar, while the other beach is located after a short climb on the Torre side.

25/07/2024: I had already read fantastic things about Matteotti. So, as soon as we landed in Palermo (we come from Turin) our only thought was to come here for breakfast. What to say? Aside from the aesthetic beauty, I can't say enough about the flavors and smells, marvelous! We ate divinely: sweet breakfast with stuffed vegan croissants and vegetable cappuccinos. We also stocked up on savory treats for our picnic lunch. The staff is very pleasant, the guys are helpful and very kind. For us, Matteotti coffee is promoted with 110 cum laude. Go in a hurry because it's a shame to miss out on this delicious stop in a fantastic city like Palermo. Thanks Matteotti coffee ❤️

La Champagneria Del Massimo

19/08/2024: Bar with outdoor seating not too far from the Teatro Massimo. Apparently Al Pacino drank dry martinis in this place while filming 'The Godfather Part III' in 1990 as the last scene of movie was shot around the corner. Cocktails were €6.5 and a 500ml beer was €6. Has a big screen showing sports.
19/08/2024: Not bad, nothing more. On a beautiful square, the place was nice and broadcast football. But we need to review the aperitivo, which is much too expensive and really average in terms of taste. Almost everything based on bread, €14 for a spritz and the aperitivo while the spritz alone costs almost less than double. Damage. Bad value for money compared to Sicily and Palermo in general where you can find cheaper. The service remains pleasant despite everything! HAS
