We had lunch at Trattoria Canuleia during a weekend in Lucca. In addition to the kindness of the entire staff, both during the reservation and during lunch, we had the opportunity to try very good local dishes in generous portions. It will be a must-visit when we return to Lucca :)

A restaurant located in Lucca's historic center. The trattoria has a wide and varied menu. Among the many restaurants in the center, Canuleia offers a wide selection of seafood dishes. The staff is always friendly and helpful; the restaurant is small, but in the summer they also have a large garden. We've been there several times for lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. This time we went for New Year's Eve dinner, and I must admit, it exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend trying Canuleia and making a reservation.

We had dinner at this trattoria with our girls during our stay in Lucca. The food was delicious: delicious farro soup, excellent risotto, and the lamb ribs were truly delicious. The staff were very friendly and the place was very well maintained. The food was excellent.

A very nice little place where we ate very well. The tortelli lucchesi with ragù were unique, truly delicious. Fair prices, highly recommended.

05/03/2026: Today I took the fish menu for 14 euros and I ate an excellent seafood salad 👍😋😋😋
21/02/2026: All good, but it's a shame the pizza wasn't really 33 cm thick. Water was a key ingredient, but we didn't make much use of it. A friend of mine didn't receive his pizza 60 minutes after ordering. Overall, I had a good time and found this location very welcoming.
