Cantinetta is a fabulous restaurant that emphasizes seafood served in ways that are pleasing to both the palate and the eyes. Many of the dishes can be deemed extraordinary — just take a look at my photos for proof. Cantinetta is located on an extremely quiet street, quite close to Ponte Vecchio. The quietude of the street leads into a pleasing ambiance inside the restaurant, which is cozy in terms of size, lighting, and the civility of the guests that tend to dine there. The wine selections are fitting for the menu, with an ample supply of choices that work well with seafood. To begin your meal, try the codball with cream of leek and peas. Wow! It is a beautiful dish (see my photo) and a light yet satisfying start to the meal. Many of the seafood mains are sublime. In my latest visit, I tried the baked branzino, which was covered with thinly sliced potatoes that were shaped like fish scales. A delectable design! See my photo on that one. Cantinetta is a place to take a break from the hearty Italian dishes that are found throughout Florence, yet you can easily mix many of those dishes with your seafood thanks to the plethora of choices available on the menu. Cantinetta is a gem.

Fantastic seafood. My partner had the sea bass baked in potatoes & gave it one of the best fish dishes she's ever had. The quality of the seafood is exceptional. The wine list....very reasonably priced good wines. This is a stand out restaurant in a city with a lot of competition.

Best restaurant in Florence!!! The service was amazing but the food was out of this world, true culinary art, from the starters to the main course and the desers, we will be back. Recommended 120%.

Great experience! Like the seafood wasn’t fresh enough, dishes weren’t extremely tasty enough, our host found a bottle of Blanc de Noire Franciacorta (that wasnt in the already good wine list) to indulge us. Incredible value for money also!! Thank you PS: definitely worth a Michelin mention!!!

The place is welcoming, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Excellent value for money considering it's right in the center of Florence. We'll definitely be back!

I was at Cantinetta delle Terme and had a wonderful experience, worthy of a 5-star rating in every way. Food: The freshest, highest-quality ingredients. I tried seafood dishes you won't find everywhere: paccheri with pistachio pesto and sea bass, spaghetti with seafood, and a tender tuna steak. Each course was beautifully balanced in flavor and presentation: a true feast for the eyes. The service was courteous, attentive, and highly knowledgeable. The staff makes you feel welcome, with helpful advice and genuine smiles that create a relaxed yet professional atmosphere. The timing between courses was perfect, unhurried, yet fast. Atmosphere and ambience: An intimate, well-kept, refined, yet not snobbish restaurant. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a special evening with friends. The atmosphere invites you to relax. Although small, it's not lacking in charm. Value for money: In such a central location in Florence and with cuisine of this caliber, the price is perfectly justified. It's not cheap, but every euro you spend is worth it. €30-50 per person for a full meal with seafood and wine seems like a good compromise. Tips: If I may offer two suggestions, book in advance, especially in the evening, as the place is popular and quite intimate. And, if you're feeling experimental, order a mixed seafood appetizer: it sets the tone for the dinner. In short: a place I highly recommend to anyone who loves authentic, well-prepared seafood cuisine, with service that exudes true hospitality, in a setting that combines elegance and warmth. I'll definitely be back.
