Cantinetta dei Verrazzano In Firenze

Visited in March 2013 - On Via dei Tavolini, Cantinetta dei Verrazzano combines bakery, wine bar, and café. One entrance greets you with a glass counter stacked with fresh focacce, pastries, and breads, baked on-site in the forno at the back. A second room offers marble-topped tables beside a charcuterie kitchen and shelves of Castello di Verrazzano wines. At lunchtime, Florentines streamed in for takeaway while I waited for a table. The crostini selezione mixed cured meats with thoughtful garnishes (7.5/10), while a salumi di cinghiale plate showed firmer, gamier flavours (7/10). Dessert was the standout - a pear and dark chocolate tart with pistachio: perfectly judged and unforgettable (10/10). Espresso from the vintage machine closed the meal on a bold, well-balanced note. A polished showcase of the Greve estate in the city centre.

Excellent cakes and pastries with something for everyone - all tasty and very reasonably priced! The interiors are classic and it feels like a special but relaxed place to sit, staff are all very friendly.

The chickpea farinata was good.

Strange selection of food and not much for children

A very good experience at this cantinetta. Delicious tasting platters of charcuterie and cheese. Very good wine served to perfection, an experienced, refined, and friendly server. A very good address, good value for money. I highly recommend it.

Small oasis of peace in the heart of Florence. We came here a few times for lunch. Good food - e.g. charcuterie, cheese, focaccia, sandwiches... - and very friendly service. The waiter was especially nice to our child, gave him a cookie and packed our leftovers. We will gladly come back!

Good canteen known by the locals.

Come lo ricordavo. ero stato già ospite anni fa e ancora adesso ho trovato ottimo cibo, accoglienza e professionalità del personale. ambiente intimo e molto curato. buonissimo il maiale sfilacciato su letto di rucola, ottima anche la polenta con ragù. consigliato per un pasto non banale e anche veloce se voluto.

Nuestra familia tenía 30-40 antes de una gira programada. Esto fue rápido y fácil. Una variedad de platos de bocadillos posiblemente 6 - 7 tipos diferentes. Guisantes y nata Tomates y albahaca Alcachofa y queso Anchoa y queso Y varios otros. Todo estaba delicioso.
