I return to Cantina Simonetti after 5 months. I go back because the food is great, but above all because the customer care and attention is friendly and very familiar. I return bringing the whole family and celebrating Easter. We went against the weather, which threatened rain and did not allow a lunch in the square. But in the end it was a party. Sun and no sun. I repeat, the food was excellent and Alessio was very kind as always. Almost a friend. My tonnarelli are super top, the artichokes have no comment and the lamb presents itself. Thanks guys. Mi sono recato in questo locale assieme alla mia famiglia e ad un gruppo di amici un sabato sera dopo una serata in un teatro del posto. Il ristorante e' un locale storico di Frascati e sorge proprio nella piazza principale del paese a due passi dal palazzo vescovile e alla terrazza panoramica su cui si vede tutta la campagna circostante fino a Roma. La cantina, nel pieno stile delle taverne romanesche, offre i tipici piatti della tradizione culinaria romana. Essendo abbastanza piccolo, conviene assolutamente prenotare, specialmente nei fine settimana. Consiglio vivamente di iniziare con un ottimo antipasto tra cui spicca la fantastica Porchetta tipica dei Castelli, l'eccezionale Trippa alla Romana al sugo, delle ottime Olive Ascolane ripiene di Porchetta e dei bei Bruschettoni con Ciauscolo e Formaggio Fuso. Tra i primi immancabili le classiche Carbonara e Amatriciana, entrambe davvero di buon livello. Come dessert molto buono lo Zabaione servito con panna montata e biscotti. Innaffiate il tutto con un ottimo Vino Rosso della Casa locale dei Castelli e passerete senza dubbio una fantastica serata. Prezzi modici e personale gentile: in sintesi assolutamente consigliato !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Small but welcoming and quiet place, with only one helpful and courteous waiter. We took two bruschettone: the first with stracciatella anchovies and chicory and the second with artichokes and smoked scamorza, both very good. As a first course we had mezze sleeves with tail sauce, very tasty, full-bodied and full of sauce, and a carbonara, the best we have ever eaten, very creamy, with plenty of bacon and pecorino. We were undecided whether to have the second course, but after eating the first courses we couldn't resist trying the pork belly with sweet potato and leek puree, very soft pork that went very well with the cream and leeks. Finally we finished on a high note with a delicious tiramisu. I highly recommend this place, we will definitely be back.

a cena a Frascati, abbiamo selezionato questa location che ci convinceva. siamo arrivati per le 20 ed eravamo i primi, poi il locale si è riempito. Il locale non è grandissimo e si sta abbastanza vicini, ma a noi non spiace, anzi. abbiamo ordinato una bruschetta (7 euro, troppo piccola), una porchetta 2 primi (ottima la carbonara, davvero), due carciofi, un piatto di puntarelle, un dolce (zabaione, buono), una bottiglia di vino consigliata dal simpatico ragazzo che ha curato il nostro tavolo, 2 ratafia...insomma ci abbiamo dato dentro. costo totale 95 euro, ci sta tutto e possiamo tranquillamente consigliare questo posto che tra l'altro si trova in una piazzetta molto carina.
