Cantina Simonetti In Frascati

Good morning, we want the old management back with the fried artichokes and the real schiaffoni made with meat sauce and abundant. Now I understand why the cost of the gricia and that of the cacio e pepe are identical: because the bacon is not at all crunchy and has no personality. Furthermore, I believe that the choice of dishes offered on the menu does not fully respect the customers as it leaves very little choice. I hope this can only be a constructive criticism. Where did the previous chef go...

The Simonetti winery is one of those places where any good intention to keep things light disappears in an instant. Come on, who are we kidding?! You come here to really enjoy yourself. Carbonara, fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, porchetta and all the other irresistible dishes make you completely lose track of time. And yes, maybe a few extra kilos escape us... but it's really worth it, because every bite will leave you with an indelible memory of what you tasted at the fantastic Cantina Simonetti. Congratulations guys... and thank you (indeed, keep it yours 😉)!

Courteous staff, welcoming environment even if not well heated. Super starters and first courses, very fatty lamb with imprecise cooking (some pieces small, others gigantic). Superlative chicory. With the Tozzetti I would have appreciated a glass of wine... overall a pleasant evening

Small place but clean, tidy and welcoming. The owner Andrea immediately made us feel in a friendly and familiar environment. All excellent dishes, TOP carbonara. Delicious tiramisu. Fair price. I will definitely go back/emo. Certainly 100% recommended

Tables a little too narrow, good service, excellent food

Discovered this evening. Having dinner with a couple of friends. Stratospheric! You eat very well! Roman specialties served with class, kindness and friendliness. I ate spaghetti alla gricia, very good. Cutlet as it used to be. Excellent bread. Desserts at the top. Exemplary tiramisu and an apple with cream, unforgettable. Prices more than honest. We will definitely return. Highly recommended.

It was my first visit to Italy. I am fascinated by the atmosphere and excellent service. I won't miss to come again.

One sunny Sunday this October we stopped to eat at the outdoor tables of this restaurant which is always very crowded, and we discovered the reason! Everything we ate was very good. We ate pasta all'amatriciana and one with porcini mushrooms, all made with fresh homemade pasta and both, I was told from a pasta factory in Ciampino, generously seasoned and tasty, then sautéed chicory, with very tasty fried cutlets. Even the house wine was pleasant. Eating in the sunny square also made this lunch very pleasant and worth repeating.

Location top. Piazzetta dove sembra che il tempo si sia fermato, il palazzo vescovile, le case con i gerani, sembra un pezzo di Trastevere a Frascati. Prenotiamo un tavolo per sei, festa di compleanno. Accoglienza sorridente e disponibile. Cibo ottimo, freschezza e qualità. Servizio ottimo, tempi di attesa tra una portata e l’altra corretti. Prendiamo dei taglieri di salumi e formaggi, la trippa, le polpette di bollito (top) ed ovviamente la porchetta, davvero gustosa. Poi diverse paste, gricia, amatriciana e assaggiamo gli schiaffoni alla frascatana, buoni ed abbondanti tutti i primi piatti non c’è che dire, menzione particolare per gli schiaffoni. Di secondo l’abbacchio panato croccante e tenero e le fettine panate che sembrano quelle che fa mia madre! Buone buone, contorni vari, cicoria e patate al forno. Vino Frascati bianco ghiacciato che scende giù che è una meraviglia! Insomma questa nuova gestione, ragazzi simpatici dinamici e disponibili, mi sembra abbia fatto centro! 5 stelle, pure 6! Tiè! Da tornare e ritornare!
