Cantina Reggiana In Chiavari

A truly authentic place with tasty food hidden among the alleys...

For a quick lunch break, we decided to stop at this restaurant. The place is simple but very welcoming, the staff are very friendly, the food is good and plentiful, so much so that we each ordered a first course and dessert. The tagliolini allo scoglio, with more seafood than pasta, were truly delicious. The dessert was also good. The price was excellent. I recommend it.

Typically Italian, stripped down to the basics and accompanied by the highest quality and friendliness – fantastic! The two-person team is fast and service-oriented. They are quick and helpful when ordering (the handwritten menu is a bit difficult to read). The house wine and the food are extremely tasty, well-prepared, and of very good quality. If we lived here, we'd be regulars… grazie!!

Excellent food, undoubtedly… Truly generous portions. What's perplexing is the service, or at least at lunch today, where arguments between the elderly owner and her son (or grandson??) reigned supreme… The latter's unpleasant remarks in front of customers, the lady who entertained tables of people she knew and forgot about everyone else, leaving them waiting for who knows what… The two young employees who can't even greet customers at the door, but have to wait for one of the two owners. These girls can't even take orders, show people to tables, or collect the bill… The presence of the lady or her son is required for these things… So it means that there's a wait for everything… What did you hire these two poor girls for if they can't do anything except bring the food to the table?

A casual atmosphere but delicious, generous dishes (especially the seafood). I come here occasionally and always enjoy it. I consider it one of the best restaurants in Chiavari and the surrounding area. The quality/quantity/price ratio is definitely unbeatable.

An excellent restaurant in the city center. The dishes are fresh, the portions generous, and the value for money is unbeatable. The service is impeccable, and the managers are very kind! I recommend it.

Cenato all’aperto sotto al portico, antipasto misto di pesce di otto portate, praticamente un assaggio di mezzo menu, cozze, seppie coi piselli, totani ripieni acciughe fritte, scampi allo zola…e altro… tutto buonissimo! Con questo si era già a posto tuttavia ormai avevamo ordinato anche un primo ( spaghetti alle arselle), un secondo (frittura mista con una varietà di pesce che non vedevo da anni, oltre che abbondantissima!) e due contorni (melanzane e cavolo ripieni) e alla fine ci siam dovuti far fare il carroccio da portare a casa. Unica pecca gli spaghetti, buoni e con tantissime vongole ma anche due dita d’olio in fondo al piatto. Non proprio una finezza… probabilmente stavano chiudendo la cucina vista l’ora e han vuotato la pentola nel mio piatto! Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo! da ripetere!

Locale storico nel centro di Chiavari, sotto i portici Insegna sbiadita, arredamento spartano, servizi puliti e ristrutturati Tagliolini alle vongole ottimi, idem allo scoglio, ben fatti, porzioni generose Calamari ripieni al sugo spettacolari, si scioglievano in bocca, tenerissimi Abbiamo bevuto un rose' spumante piacentino azienda La Ferraia, prevalenza uve pinot, temperatura perfetta Cameriera professionale e gentile, abbiamo conosciuta la proprietaria, simpatica Torneremo alla prima occasione
