Cantina del Ponte In Cocconato

I took my mother to lunch to celebrate her birthday, she had never been there, the starter with spelled and trout pie was a surprise of flavors and the agnolotti with sausage ragout were special, tasty but delicate. The panna cotta with chocolate was an excellent ending to a truly excellent meal.

Wine shop with characteristic restaurant in the small historic center of Cocconato. I recommend you try the Barbera Maciot, a very good biodynamic wine they produce, which we had already discovered at Cascina Rosengana, from the same family, even better if enjoyed with ravioli with sausage ragout. Liked it a lot. I also really appreciated the garlic and anchovy "schiciola".. yum! Super friendly and helpful staff, and we were there on a holiday day, not too quiet. The only flaw in my opinion is the dessert, little choice and not up to the standard of the rest.

Nothing serious overall, but the experience isn't entirely convincing. The leap between the "familiarity" of the outdoor area and the bar counter is too abrupt, compared to the somewhat forced sophistication of the dining room. The particular choice of eliminating the tablecloth, but also the underplate or placemat, limiting the protection of the cutlery with a steel cutlery underlay and that's it, occasionally sees one's fork rolling on the bare table. Decent dishes, but a little too salty. And, in any case, a little too expensive for originality and quality. Impeccable service

Excellent first courses and pizzas. Excellent local Matera prima. The first courses are excellent, especially the cocconati with ragù.

We had dinner last night, a nice and welcoming place, good service, spectacular risotto, excellent rest, great choice of wines. Deserves all 5 stars Well done and thanks.

Beautiful and characteristic location. Original menu: above all I recommend the Cocconati and the schisiole.

Cantina del Ponte è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Piatti ben cucinati, ben proposti e decisamente buoni, cucina piemontese originale e curata. Salette comode e graziose. Cortesia e gentilezza fanno parte del servizio. Esperienza che ripeterò sicuramente e che consiglio

Una giornata piovosa per visitare il bel borgo di Cocconato, ma la sosta per il pranzo è stata appagante. Il locale è molto carino e caldo e serve una cucina locale. Noi abbiamo apprezzato molto i nostri antipasti che hanno esaltato al massimo la qualità della materia prima, la carne di fassona, servita come battuta con fonduta di robiola e noci per me, mentre la mia compagna ha preso un valido vitello tonnato. A seguire abbiamo entrambi preso uno stracotto di fassone al barbera d’asti con patate e cime di rapa che però non ci ha convinto: la carne, pur ben cotta, era molto (ma molto) indietro di sale e purtroppo era anche molto nervosa tanto che io ne ho dovuto avanzare un pezzo perchè non si riusciva neanche a tagliare. Peccato. Un plauso va ai vini al calice che ho potuto assaggiare, entrambi della locale cantina Maciot. Il primo un Grignolino Vigin che si è splendidamente abbinato alla battuta, il secondo un Nebbiolo Nobil anche questo ottimo affiancato allo stracotto.
