Cantina del Ponte In Cocconato

Warm welcome, excellent menu, young and courteous staff. Recommended.

The ambiance inside is rustic, but outside is very pleasant, right in the middle of the village. The young man's service was attentive, friendly, and quick. The food itself was more or less "OK."

This place has always been a staple on the "Riviera del Monferrato," and today it's a good bar-restaurant, run by young, courteous staff... Good selection of dishes, tasty and beautifully presented, as well as wines, many of which are local... The strozzapreti with sage pesto were fantastic, as was the dessert... The prices are fair, and the outdoor seating overlooking the square is a plus... Good, keep it up!

I like to return to this restaurant for the quality of the food, always excellent, with local products.

In the fantastic village of Cocconato you will find "La cantina del Ponte", a place where, upon entering, you will find yourself immersed in a familiar and very welcoming atmosphere. The owners are wonderful people, kind, helpful, smiling and ready to satisfy your every need in very quick times and with particular care and attention to the customer. I had the opportunity to taste both the schiciole and the ravioli: just from the smell you understand the goodness, the genuineness and the simplicity of the dishes, eating them, well... Something unique! They also offer the possibility of tasting platters of cold cuts and cheeses (I recommend you cannot pass by Cocconato without tasting the Robiola and the Ferrero cold cuts) and a vast selection of labels. "La cantina del Ponte" for me wins over everyone, well done well done well done 😘

Service very welcoming, pleasant and efficient. Food was good but not amazing. The slow cooked beef was very good but the cod with capers and olives was over cooked, so disappointing. The ravioli a little unbalanced on the herbs and seasoning. The atmosphere and decor all fine. Wine selection very good to my taste.

Premettendo che si sono resi disponibili a gestire un commensale CELIACO pur non essendo attrezzati con doppia cucina e che hanno fatto un’incredibile attenzione alla contaminazione (super apprezzato), il pranzo ci ha lasciati particolarmente stupiti. Abbiamo preso un tagliere di salumi e formaggi, una battuta di fassona, una tartare di asparagi con uovo poche, un primo senza glutine con burro e nocciole, un primo di gallotti con acciughe e burro, uno stracotto di fassone, un bunet e una panna cotta con marmellata alle arance. Il tutto accompagnato da una bottiglia di Peraverga. Molto buoni i primi, il resto abbastanza nella norma, con porzioni non eccessivamente abbondanti, un po’ stoppaccioso lo stracotto. Personale gentilissimo e cortese e attento a soddisfare le richieste dei clienti. Un po’ strano mangiare senza tovaglia.

Cocconato è una bella località turistica e questo locale all'ingresso del borgo, oltre a proporre cucina tradizionale, presenta una lunga lista di schiciole, con diverse farciture. La schiciola è una specialità locale, consistente in una focaccia rotonda gustosa e leggera. Con una versione "mega" a testa abbiamo pranzato ottimamente. Tra le quattro diverse schiciole che abbiamo ordinato, mi è piaciuta soprattutto la "regina", con pomodoro, robiola e origano. Il servizio è stato cortese, il conto per niente salato.
