Spectacular view overlooking Rome, excellent food and everyone very kind

It's been a few years since I went to Frascati to eat at this restaurant! Always fresh food and lots of choice. Friendly staff. Fast service even though the place was full of people.

We went today for mid-August lunch. Typical castle cellar with terrace overlooking Rome. Very well maintained. Excellent service. Smart guys and quality food, as well as the choice of wines. Not huge, but good selection. Special meatballs! Thanks for the welcome and see you next time. Alexander

When I read other people's negative reviews, sometimes I wonder which planet these people come from... Unless something really happened to them. I've been living in Rome for 6 years... and I have to say that it was one of my best lunches out of home. I am an extremely demanding person... because if I pay, I demand to eat well! During a trip out of town, passing by, we preferred to book for lunch. At 1.30pm they let us sit. We take the appetizers and 2 first courses. Their famous oxtail meatball and a portion of porchetta. The meatball, apart from being of a very generous circumference, had just the right amount of crunchy breading. Inside is a heart of stew (coda alla vaccinara), hot and very tender! As village grandmothers once did... cooking for no less than 3 hours on low heat!! Practically butter!! The porchetta, the best I've eaten in 6 years!! Nothing to complain about the grill, perfect!! On carbonara... excellent, but in my personal taste the tonnarello is better than the half sleeve. Excellent wine... I don't remember the name, but it was recommended to me by the owner's son. The restaurant has a style between the cellar and the tavern... cute, minimal and welcoming. They have tables outside and inside. Bathrooms ok. Friendly staff available for every customer request or question. Normal service, with waiting times appropriate for preparation. A warm greeting to the owner's son (very kind), from the girl who made the shoe (I'll break your little hand if you take my plate away 😂😂🩷)! ps: finally... to those who say pasta is overcooked and cold and wine is vinegary... dear, I answer you from the heart, go to Mc'Donalds or eat pasta with cream, that's the only thing you can understand!! ADVISED!!

Very rustic place, typical Roman cuisine, all delicious....excellent prices...we made the slipper with bread at the end🤣🤣🤣

Excellent dishes and superlative view. I don't give my best in terms of service just because the chairs outside are really very uncomfortable.
