"A must-visit in Reggio Emilia! I'm often here for work, and Canasta was a wonderful discovery. The owner and all the staff are wonderful, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. Even though the place is always packed (a sign of great quality!), the welcome is always top-notch. From the pizza to the meat and fish dishes, the quality is top-notch. The desserts are especially noteworthy: strictly homemade and delicious! Highly recommended!"

A delicious first course of tagliatelle with seafood, followed by a fried tortilla and calamari main course that was sent back because it was inedible. The fish was badly defrosted and rubbery, and the chickpea flour batter was inedible. I've marked it in my diary, never again.

We were looking for a place to stop right after exiting the highway, something different from the usual service station, and Canasta Restaurant proved to be a truly perfect choice. We were truly satisfied: the warm welcome, tasty cuisine, and pleasant atmosphere. A perfect stop during our trip, definitely worth considering in the future.

Dinner with colleagues. Ordered seafood risotto. Measly portion served on a huge plate with tons of shells and little seafood. The baba for dessert was truly awful! Lots of water and sugar, and maybe rum essence or something. Total €30. Hmm?!
