African temperatures outside, pleasant air conditioning inside. Clean and welcoming, warm, "winter" design. All perfect. I would like to point out, among other things, some simply exceptional spaghetti with mullet roe.

Location molto rilassante e servizio accurato. Possibilità di scelta molto ampia di pesce o di carne. Di estremo interesse anche il menù di mezzogiorno con ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

The food was tasty, but the portion sizes were a bit small and quite expensive. As a tourist you didn't necessarily feel welcome.

Thanks to the table with fireplace, the dinner with friends was very evocative. I had also tried the restaurant in the old location, but I admit that now it is even more welcoming than before. The macaroni with speck is decent, made exceptional by the visible preparation in the form of parmesan. Good meats and desserts. The great courtesy of the staff made dinner even more pleasant.

25/07/2024: Excellent! Loved how personable and friendly the management and staff were. This place was recommended by a waiter in our hotel Me Milan Il Duca... just a short walk from the hotel to Assunta Madre. It is a seafood restaurant. We got a kick out of the manager who questioned my husband when he ordered red wine in a seafood restaurant but he did it in a cleaver way asking when they would be leaving to go find a big steak. Then when my daughter ordered pasta with catch of the day and we didn't know what a scorpion fish looked like, the manager brought out a large, orange scorpion fish on a plate so we could see what was being prepared. He also winced when I asked the waiter for parmesan... Americans like their cheese, lol. I went with his recommendation not to douce my lobster and pasta with cheese. The place is rather small but filled up with local guest mostly including a large table of patrons celebrating a birthday and singing. It was a delightful experience all around... the ambience/vibe, food, wait staff.
