Calò In Trieste

Delicious pasta and focaccia. It's on the main street, but still recommended. Good white wine.

Many restaurants in Trieste have a strange habit (from a non-Italian perspective) of working short hours in the morning, taking a long break during the day, and working evenings. In other words, at approximately 3 PM you don't have many options and you go to whichever restaurant is open. That is the main reason we chose this restaurant. The pizza we ate was okay, but nothing to write home about (the crust was almost tasteless, and the toppings weren't made from the best ingredients, especially the mozzarella cheese). The service was okay but nothing fancy, and the overall experience was: "it was okay, but..."

Good food, friendly service, and a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The only downside was that the starter arrived at the same time as the main course (I didn't take a photo).

Good pizza for a fair price. Fast service. Open throughout all afternoon (unlike some other restaurants in Trieste) is an advantage.

The food was delicious. Service was attentive. The restroom could be a bit cleaner.

Don’t be fools but the appearance the arancini and pasta were fantastic!!! Gnocchi was melt in your mouth, clam linguine had a great flavour and so many delicious clams, lasagne was super rich and satisfying.

Great pizza and fast service. The staff is very friendly. The prices are fair. 👍

Best mixed and fresh salad, best Spaghetti All Arrabiata! Made in Sicilian way, best fresh and warm bread to the salad! Sit outside...
