passed by a small California bakery and tried their avocado toast. The avocado was fresh and tasted quite nice, and the toast was crispy. The poppy seed cake was refreshing and also quite good. Nothing extraordinary, but the prices were a bit higher than expected for the avocado.

Returned this afternoon 10 years after the last time, nothing has changed since university, the cakes are always very special and delicious, Cali Bakery Sant'Ambrogio today gave me a dive into the most beautiful memories of the past!

The extremely charming and cheerful waitress was straightforward that there were no eggs and thus also no pancakes as fresh supplies hadn't arrived yet early on the first opening day after the holidays. That's a bummer if you came here for pancakes and eggs... We then chose bagles from the ample range of alternatives and were absolutely thrilled! You could actually taste the lime juice in the guac on the greek bagle and nearly needed a fork lift for the ton of salmon on the NY bagle. Both delicious. We have another three days in Milan and will definitely be back after fresh eggs have been delivered. They are supposed to come this afternoon.... 😉

I stopped at this bar to ask for directions and took the opportunity to have a coffee. The guys at the counter were very kind and more than courteous and the coffee was good too. The windows with sweet and savory products were inviting; shame about the environment which was a bit chaotic and the bathrooms quite dirty. I imagine that having a place a few steps from the metro station contributes to having such a flow of customers that it is difficult to keep the place always tidy.

06/12/2024: When I was little my parents often took me there after the medical checks I did at Gaetano Pini and it was our habit to go in the evening at dinner time. I remember in particular one evening in which the orthopedists blatantly told me that in a few months I would be operated on: I tried to maintain my composure but I couldn't, being around 12 years old, I cried afterwards when ordering at the bakery and the girls At the checkout they were really very kind in trying to make me feel at ease and defuse the situation with my parents. I recently returned as an adult and nothing has changed: I always feel "at home"🩷
08/10/2024: Dignitosa pausa pranzo. Voti da 1 a 10: 6.5 per il locale. Forno, caffetteria senza infamia e senza lode. 7+ per il cibo. Pizza al trancio abbastanza buona. 8 per il servizio. Accettabile rapporto qualità prezzo. Non a buon mercato, ma vista la zona si può chiudere un occhio. Ci tornerei? Può darsi. Lo consiglierei? No, però non lo sconsiglierei nemmeno.

22/05/2025: I'm only giving two stars to the pizza because for a few months they've been serving me pizza that's not overcooked on the bottom and with little oil, your pizza has always been delicious, crunchy on the bottom and with oil, since foreigners have been making it, it's not like that anymore
19/03/2025: Well-kept environment suitable for hit and run. Polite and fast service. Pizza obviously not traditional but very good. Even if it is high, it is well cooked and tasty due to the evident use of good quality raw materials. Perhaps slightly high prices for what is offered.
