Good food (as expected) Good atmosphere but very high and incongruent prices with a meal served at lunch. Or in any case in Cosenza there is no culture of having double standards between lunch and dinner. As happens everywhere in Italy. In any case, the food was good but the €18 per bottle of prosecco is too much if you pay €15 for a portion of cod. The next day nothing pushes me to go back.

Characteristic place in old Cosenza near the suggestive church of S. Domenico. Excellent fish starters, paella if not quite up to the Spanish one, more than acceptable, lemon sorbet really well prepared.

Nel centro storico, in Via Tommaso Campanella, si trova questo delizioso localino che offre anche tavolini all’aperto con vista sullo spettacolare centro storico di Cosenza. L’oste è un signore simpatico e cordiale, capace di soddisfare anche le clienti che non mangiano il pesce. E’ infatti un locale che offre principalmente piatti a base di pesce e una paella servita in una paellera che è uno spettacolo. Ma anche i primi piatti della cucina tradizionale cosentina, come i “maccarruni ‘a ‘ra cusendina” e le verdure grigliate e aromatizzate, sono una vera delizia per il palato. Una sola pecca: il calice di vino ci è sembrato esiguo (meno della metà) e, vista la prelibatezza, “sono stata costretta” a fare il bis
