Cala Gavitella Beach Club In Praiano

AWFUL EXPERIENCE DUE TO THE OUTRAGEOUS PRICE FOR THE SERVICE OFFERED! Totally unjustified price for the service offered… €120 for a beach umbrella and 2 sun loungers! The concrete strip on the rocks hosts just 20 beach umbrellas attached to each other, when they brought drinks to the guests of the beach umbrella next door they practically put them under my umbrella. To swim you have to dive from a ladder that is in the establishment next door (so you have to cross another beach) and to take a shower you have to go to the public beach on the opposite side (before midday you basically have to slalom between the bathers to take a shower), all this perhaps you can say is ok for the Amalfi coast and in part it is true, but not if I pay €60 per person!!! Plus the 15€ credit that obviously forces you to go to the restaurant unless you want to pay 45€ for a launch box that includes a water and a bruschetta of aubergines. The food in the restaurant is good, nothing to say, but honestly at least from my point of view, if I decide to go to the beach, I go for the beach not for the restaurant. Oh I forgot, if you come by land, you basically have to walk down from above Praiano!! Which involves something like 500 steps under the scorching sun. To conclude, the place is not bad and the staff very kind but the problem is the excessive price for a beach service that is practically non-existent, in fact, difficult! I saw the bathers of the public beach who were 5 meters away from me, they were bathing where I was and showering where I was and I felt like an idiot, because they had spent 0€ and I had spent 120€

Very nice place and very cool staff, incredible views

brought here by a boat tour in the off season. This place has a great view and the service was also very good and the gentleman who helped us spoke English very well! The ravioli and the gnocchi were great and’s I highly recommend with their espresso for energy during the mid day They also had a separate dingy that transported us from our boat to their which was probably scheduled due to out boat tour

My friend and I had the BEST experience at the La Gavitella cooking class! We were a group of 2 and there was just one other group of 2 so we lucked out with a small class. We started with coffee and breakfast and then got right into it. Thomas was the best chef and the other staff was amazing as well. We had so much fun with unlimited wine and laughing! After we finished cooking we sat down to eat and the food turned out delicious. We then headed to the beach club for the rest of the day. I can truly say this was our favorite day out of our Amalfi coast trip and would recommend going on a week day so the class isn’t as busy. I will be telling everyone who is going to the Amalfi coast that this is the place to be and not to skip the cooking class!

I had an AMAZING day at La Gavitella’s beach club and restaurant. The location was perfect and staff was excellent. I greatly appreciated their hospitality and kindness- it made my experience one of my favorites of the trip.

I went with a friend of mine for the second time to “La Gavitella” and spent a very pleasant day between sea, relaxation and good food. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always ready to satisfy our every request. Well-organized beach, with attention to detail and a relaxing atmosphere. But the real strong point of this place is the restaurant! From appetizer to dessert, everything was delicious with fresh and high-quality ingredients. The view from the restaurant is equally spectacular and romantic. In short, I recommend this place to anyone who loves the sea, good food and the beauty of the Amalfi coast. We will definitely be back.

This was a highlight of our trip so far. Great location, awesome food and well organised. Vanessa and the the chef were very patient and professional when teaching us how to cook and took plenty of photos so we could stay present in the moment. The wait staff kept our wine glasses full all afternoon. We will be trying the recipes at home. Great experience!

Beautiful location, the beach is very quiet and the sea is splendid. I went to lunch at the restaurant with a friend of mine and the food was excellent, very fresh fish and helpful and friendly staff. Nice experience, I will return soon.
