30/12/2025: Wow! An absolute gem in Bologna. Don’t be fooled by how unassuming this place looks from the outside. The food here was outstanding. Without exaggeration, this was the best meal we had in Bologna and honestly across all of Italy. If you’re looking for truly traditional Bolognese food, this is the place. The handmade tortellini were beautiful — delicate, rich, and clearly made with so much care. Every dish we tried was exceptional. The service made the experience even better. Everyone was so lovely, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel completely at home. They were incredibly accommodating and clearly passionate about what they do. A must-visit if you’re in Bologna - can’t recommend Osteria Black Bay highly enough.
