My new favorite osteria in Bologna! I discovered it by chance and fell in love from the first dinner. Traditional, simple yet high-quality dishes are complemented by more modern creations that change weekly. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is friendly yet elegant. A rare gem!

Wow! An absolute gem in Bologna. Don’t be fooled by how unassuming this place looks from the outside. The food here was outstanding. Without exaggeration, this was the best meal we had in Bologna and honestly across all of Italy.
If you’re looking for truly traditional Bolognese food, this is the place. The handmade tortellini were beautiful — delicate, rich, and clearly made with so much care. Every dish we tried was exceptional.
The service made the experience even better. Everyone was so lovely, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel completely at home. They were incredibly accommodating and clearly passionate about what they do.
A must-visit if you’re in Bologna - can’t recommend Osteria Black Bay highly enough.

A restaurant that doesn't look impressive from the outside, located on a nondescript roundabout on the outskirts of Bologna, but that's precisely what makes it special. As soon as you enter, you're immediately greeted by the warmth of the place and the friendly, authentic Bolognese staff. The food and selection of local wines are a delight. My partner and I are thrilled and recommend it for a romantic and enjoyable evening. But it's also a great option for a night out with friends—quite the opposite! Definitely try it!

The food was quite good, but a bit too greasy, which is a good thing if you want to eat typical Bolognese cuisine.
Very good service, welcoming and helpful staff.
Very nice, cozy, and well-kept place. The bathroom was minimal but still clean.

Dinner with friends. It's a true trattoria/restaurant. The food is very good and the portions are generous. The owner, Luca, is always available and friendly. Recommended for anyone looking for a pleasant evening enjoying traditional Bolognese dishes. The beer is excellent.
