Caffe Walter 1907 In Trieste

grande amore! a very cute and traditional bar/cafe, i really loved it and the people there are super friendly!

This old cafe is nicely placed between the main square and the Canal Grande, Via S Nicolo, Trieste. It was a quite early on a beautiful Sunday morning but the café was already quite busy with most tables taken outside. This place is well over a hundred years old and the dark interior is a hint of its age. Loved the coffee, decent service and not expensive for a city centre. Good place to take a break from sightseeing.

Very good value for money. The sandwiches are between 3 and 5€, very reasonable and with plenty of choice. The spritz is excellent 👍 Extra vegetarian sandwich
