The waitress/family was wonderful. She helped us by explaining in English some items on the perfect sized menu. All 4 of us liked the food and wine. Especially loved the savory the Antipasti Verdure.

The menu features both seafood and meat dishes. The simple vegetarian and cheese appetizers are also delicious, served with great care.

24/12/2025: La Grottella is one of our absolute favorite places, a cute and super welcoming place where my family and I come so often—often even a couple of times a week! ❤️ We love the relaxed, family atmosphere, perfect for a quiet dinner or just spending time together. The staff is always friendly and helpful, making us feel at home every time we return. Roberta is fantastic. The cuisine is typical and authentic, with dishes that reflect Salento tradition, but the real star for us is the pizza: thin, thin, light, and truly delicious—well-seasoned and easy to digest. If you're looking for a place with local cuisine, excellent pizza, and a feel-good atmosphere, La Grottella is highly recommended. A regular in Melissano! 🍕🍷

This is what it means to love your children; they're learning the true values ​​of life, respect, and a challenging profession! Delicious pizza! A welcoming and quaint place, with attention to detail, stunning vaults, and a very quiet atmosphere! A great place to spend a relaxing evening. We'll definitely be back!
