Caffè Sargenti In Roma

Excellent coffee that pairs well with fresh pastries. I had a very fresh lobster, and it's not always like this—crisp and freshly made. I stand by my opinion of the coffee shop and small pastries.

Sargenti is right under my house, and all the food has always been good—the desserts, the maritozzi, the fruit ones, and especially the ice cream, delicious. The coffee is very good, and the staff are very friendly, and the service is both inside and out. Highly recommended. Don't listen to the horrible reviews. It's very good.

Sargenti is good, and it's also about service. I mean, it opens early in the morning and closes late in the evening. I don't want to be wrong, but I think they're open 365 days a year. They have tables inside and out, the pastry shop is good, the takeaway/quick lunch section is stocked with the bare minimum (a wise choice given the competition from Franz, 200 meters away), the ice cream is good, and the service is more than efficient even during peak hours (especially at the counter).

Despite the many negative reviews we've read recently, our experience at Sargenti was beyond positive. It's a well-known establishment in the neighborhood, and this time we decided to stop for an aperitivo: a perfect choice. We tried both the classic platter and the Mexican option with nachos, chili, guacamole, and cheddar—both beautifully presented, tasty, and generously portioned. All this was accompanied by truly courteous service: the young man who served us was kind, helpful, and attentive throughout. Prices were also very reasonable: the aperitivo is absolutely affordable and in line with the offerings. In a changing neighborhood, Sargenti remains a go-to spot for a relaxed and enjoyable break, perhaps worth reconsidering with a more open mind.
