28/04/2024: Proud of being in this lovely little piazza since 1872 no less !!!.. the recent ownership change have been promoting themselves as something of a re-enforcement of tradition .. but frankly there's NO name change when you get there (confusing & very UNhelpful)..& I still don't now what the heck all the blurb about the "new direction" can in fact really be all about? Much is made in print about nearly all food being presented at table on/in steel 'mini-frying pan " ... of all things ! For me the new owners should've ditched this irritating gimmick as one of the first things they undertook, assuming in fact it wasn't in fact their new idea?! My Euro14.90 (quite small serve for this money !) lasagna came unappealingly in the base of a high-sided ALUMNIUM pan ..grrrr. This ugly feature ensured it was as difficult to eat as it was the manner in which food itself cooled quicker than it would've on a conventional plate (warmed, naturally!) ..thank you very much. Not. I was given 4 slices very nice bread before the pasta arrived - But poured only the very meanest slick of olive oil to go with it - in another high-sided vessel (glazed ceramic this time..another silly gimmick). But the bottle of oil was then immediately confiscated out of reach ! So yes, I had to ask for it to be returned! Aw gee....how mean is this! ? So sadly, in all, this comes off as another rather overpriced, toursitic trap. With a marked lack of true Tuscan hospitality thrown in! What a shame.
