08/12/2024: We discovered a real hidden gem. It is a simple, informal and welcoming trattoria in the heart of Civita Castellana, with extremely friendly and attentive service. What is striking is the extraordinary quality/price ratio. The love for the territory shines through and the ingredients are all local and of the highest quality which make the traditional cuisine offered authentic: yet with prices that are still the same as 10 years ago! Incredible. Absolutely worth trying if you pass along the Flaminia, perhaps combining the culinary experience at Bastiano with a visit to the beauties of this little-known and undervalued town: from the museum to the cathedral and the magnificent panorama that can be enjoyed from the belvedere.
