Caffè Manon Lescaut In Lucca

In two weeks of travelling in this part of Italy this is the only café that provided a little jug of hot water so I could dilute my café americano to the strength I like. Full marks for that. Food choice was limited to what was on display but I had prosciutto and mozzarella on focaccia (warmed) plus a slice of apple tart, both very good. If the 5€ tart had been bigger, warmed, and with a dollop of cream I would have given 5 stars.

This small bar offers a welcoming atmosphere, ideal for a quick break. Prices are average, guaranteeing good value for money for most drinks. However, I recommend opting for drinks other than caffè latte, which could be excessively diluted with milk. The service is friendly and helpful, helping to make the stop pleasant. Despite its small size, the place is well kept and clean. The central location makes it easily accessible and convenient for a break during a walk or a day of shopping. Overall, an unpretentious but pleasant bar for a moment of relaxation.

A typical Italian café where you can have a delicious breakfast

We discovered Manon Lescaut through some friends who live in Lucca, and it was the most delightful experience! We ate here several times for breakfast and enjoyed aperitif hour here as well. The French toast and omelettes are not only delicious but also presented artfully. I loved their cappuccino, and I wish I had, had time to try one of their many smoothie selections. As a bonus, the cafe sits within the walls of the city in a location away from crowds of tourists. The owners are engaging, hospitable, and attentive. My husband and I loved every moment here and hope to return one day!

Descubrimos este café por casualidad. Tuvimos un delicioso almuerzo de antipasti y ensalada en una plaza vibrante. Fue genial para la gente que mira y el servicio era bueno. La señora era servicial en el pedido. Nuestra porción era del tamaño perfecto.

Un endroit très sympa pour prendre un cocktail près du musée Puccini au centre de Lucca. Les cocktails sont délicieux. Nous n avons pas testé les repas.

Delicious limoncello spritz and tiramisu. Staff friendly and attentive. It's nice to sit in a small place. Very comfortable 😃

In Lucca in a very nice square with bowls of yogurt and fruits and granola, eggs Benedict toast.
