When you order a small ice cream and they serve you whatever they want. When they charge you anything but a small ice cream, only €10. When you go to the bathroom, they let you in remotely, and when you open the door, you find two customers relieving themselves together. When the waiter is overly ineffective, pressuring you excessively to do what they think. When they force you to go upstairs, but when you suddenly say you'd better leave, you can stay on the ground floor. Anyway.

€40 for two cups of ice cream, which, I admit, was really a lot, is a bit excessive.
We couldn't see any price information at first glance and were shocked at how expensive the ice cream was.
It tasted great!
But the price was steep.

It would be "nice" to clearly inform customers about the cost of table service...
Pleasant atmosphere, albeit a bit small, excellent location (panoramic window overlooking the Ponte Vecchio from the upper floor), normal prices for Florence, at least on paper... except for the table service surcharge: €1 for EACH course, including coffee.
We paid over €30 for a standard breakfast of a croissant and cappuccino for four people.
I do NOT recommend it (or, better yet, I recommend only eating at the counter or taking out).

We sat at the balcony, and the hostess was super nice and helpful. It's was a great place to start the day with coffee and something sweet. Prices aren't too cheap, so do keep it in mind and ask if you're not sure.

I don't understand the strange negative comments. The prices are perfectly reasonable for this touristy place.
We got a coupe with three scoops of ice cream and paid €8.50 for it (as stated on the menu for the coupe).
Perhaps you should also consider that a large restaurant in such a busy location also comes at a price ;)
We were satisfied with everything and would recommend it again for ice cream and drinks (we can't rate it any higher).

Sure, the place isn't cheap. The Caffelatte Freddo (€6) was good, and the three-flavored ice cream (€10) was OK. There are certainly better options. But we had good seats on the "balcony," and the waitress Iris was great! It couldn't be friendlier, and conveniently, she spoke a bit of German. We would definitely stop by again on our next visit to Florence.

As Tourists, we came here 3 times within a couple days for cappuccinos and a couple espresso martinis. We saw the reviews before the third time, but didn’t experience any rip offs. The people working were friendly enough for Italy, we didn’t get overcharged. There are hundreds of Gelato places to go to besides this one, I don’t know why people would bother going to this one in the first place because we didn’t. Coffee was great. The woman did ask for a tip which we didn’t give, but it doesn’t deserve to be rated so poorly because of that. Just don’t tip lmao
