Caffè Lungara 1940 In Roma

We Had gone to look at the Tiempetto and the Corsini Gallery and decided we needed a bite to eat. We were delighted to find this family style restaurant. The roasted chicken, fava beans in sauce, mixed greens and other dishes were excellent. We were delighted to sit outside and enjoy a break during our busy day. Although our Italian did not extend well to discussing each dish, pointing and following their suggestions worked very well.

It's a place to pick up something and continue your journey. The milkshakes were delicious. The croissant was also delicious. The waitress was friendly and very quick.

We had all our breakfasts here during our stay in Rome, it was really very good, I recommend it!

I stopped in spontaneously. The offer to choose three vegetables with one of the rice options for €9.50 is great. Everything was delicious! I managed to stay under €20 with a 0.4 liter beer, an espresso macchiato, and a slice of cake. Everyone was very nice! Plus, I could sit quietly inside. I liked the relaxed, down-to-earth atmosphere. A definite recommendation if you want good, affordable, and relaxed food without the tourist madness.

The morning server behind the counter is direct and can be rude. People skills is not her greatest quality. The afternoon server, she is very welcoming and along with others. I did not care for their gelato. The pastries, lunch menu items and juices were delicious.

We stopped by as tourists for lunch, after visiting Villa Farnesina. It's immediately obvious that this isn't just a tourist spot (which can be a good thing, in a way!). At lunchtime, they operate like a "cafeteria calda" (snack bar), offering a variety of delicious dishes (first courses, second courses, and side dishes for all tastes), generous portions, and absolutely reasonable prices. If you happen to be in the area for lunch, stop here!

A delightful café, ice cream parlor, and pastry shop. We stumbled upon it by chance while walking towards the botanical garden. Delicious coffee and cornettos. Unfortunately, they were out of pistachio ones, but the chocolate ones were equally delicious. Two cornettos plus one cappuccino for €6.70. It's actually cheaper in Trastevere. We definitely recommend it.
