It's famous, so I went! I was able to get in right away.
You can hear the music outside, but you can't hear it once you're inside.
The atmosphere inside is lovely 💓
You pay for the atmosphere. Everything is expensive! Amazing!
I ordered a Mont Blanc, but it was quite sweet for Japanese people. The tea was just average 🫖

Nice caffè from the XVIIIth century, famous and mythic in Venice for its small cosy salons and preppy hot chocolate/coffee with pastries. All served in a nice dedicated tableware. However, service is not corresponding to the level it should be at. Prices are high, the place itself is historical, but you can feel like in an overcrowded place where as a tourist, you are not very well treated. No genuine welcoming. Harsh replies sometimes. So better to see from outside and enjoy other old caffes in Venice.

We were captivated by the orchestra and sat down to enjoy a romantic, unique, and timeless moment.
It costs €7 per person to enjoy the orchestra outdoors, plus the price of drinks. Drink prices are exorbitant, such as €15 for a 0.25cl beer or €24 for a glass of wine.
This is a historic Venetian bar, with 300 years of history, located in St. Mark's Square.

Cool old restaurant. Live music outside in the plaza. Didn’t eat, just had drinks. Service was excellent. It’s expensive but cool.

A charming spot that's a must-see when visiting Venice. A wide variety of desserts and coffees of all kinds.

We enjoyed our afternoon ice cream sundaes a great deal. I had mint tea but my cousin selected breakfast tea. She's a great tea drinker and had high hopes for a good cup of tea but they weren't met. She was given a pot of hot water and a separate teabag so the bag went into the water when it was several degrees off boiling which isn't ideal.
There were a lot of young people who appeared to be there for the photo opportunities and once they'd taken photos, they barely picked at their food. Perhaps a separate room should be reserved for 'influencers' who don't bother eating what they've bought...

We didn’t make a reservation or grab a pricey table in the square—we simply walked in, turned left, and sat at the elegant bar inside to try the famous espresso at Caffè Florian, the oldest café in Italy (est. 1720).
The service was wonderful—especially the lovely woman behind the bar who gave us a brief history lesson while pulling the espresso. It’s rich, strong, and smooth—sipping it in this setting made it unforgettable.
So glad we did this! It’s a must-do for any coffee enthusiast. The atmosphere, the history, and that perfect little cup… you’re tasting a piece of Venetian tradition.
