Caffe Florian In Venezia

Among the open-air cafes boasting hundreds of years of history in Piazza San Marco, the highlight of a trip to Venice, Cafe Florian is a historic place that opened in 1720. In particular, Venice is the city that led Europe's coffee culture. It's nice to savor the taste and aroma of high-quality coffee in the same place that famous historical figures such as Casanova, Goethe, Wagner, and Charles Dickens, as well as European nobles, frequented. Admiring the cafe's antique interior decoration and portraits of noble ladies and gentlemen on the walls, and listening to music played by musicians with a long tradition in the open air are also charming ways to relieve the fatigue of your travels.

For the location it is, was what we expected. Coffee good, and we got a zabaglione cocktail. All good. Atmosphere is nice, if you like historical places.

Dream experience. Very kind service. I had a delicious tea and tiramisu with my fiancé and it was all delicious. Expensive but worth it! 😊

Place to visit in Verona, but not expensive, the following. You do it because it is once in your life that you are going to go to Verona and visit this 18th century cafe. X inside it is beautiful, it is worth being there, but of course, a cappuccino coffee, €12, so, if you go with your partner, then €24. The waiters were very attentive and very well dressed… very typical of that time… To be there once in a lifetime, but not for every day, of course.

A caprice for the price of the coffees, but it's worth it.

If you are coming here, you are coming because you want to take photos and for the experience of having a drink or snack in the oldest coffee house in venice, directly on the square. If you come with other expectations then you will be disappointed. Expect to pay astronomical prices. That being said, the hot chocolate and ice cream was truly delicious. Perhaps not 30 euros delicious (because I personally do not see where a cup of hot chocolate and an ice cream can cost 30 euros on it's own), but still delicious. We knew we were going to splurge when we came here.

The oldest cafe in Italy and one of the oldest in the world. Casanova, Goethe, Dickens and Proust frequented here. So let's be clear that you're not only paying for the coffee you're going to drink, you're paying for drinking your drink in a historic place - I'm clarifying this, because I read a lot of reviews about it being overpriced, overpriced, etc. If you just want to have a good coffee, there are plenty of great options in Venice, at 1/10 the price you'll find at Florian. If you choose Florian, you do it for his story. If you sit down, try the hot chocolate. The best I've ever had! The coffee is fine, but you can find it elsewhere. The tea comes in a small teapot and is more than a cup, fine too but nothing special. It has a short wait every time we visited, but we never waited more than 5-10', no matter how long the line was.

I recommend this atmospheric cafe

Così si deve interpretare una sosta in questo caffè, unico nel suo genere... Non discuto che i prezzi siano alti ma i prezzi li fa il mercato e l'utenza, in netta prevalenza turistica, e' attirata da queste magnifiche sale come le api dai fiori... Sulla qualità però spezzo una lancia in favore: la mia cioccolata in tazza era veramente buona e densa al punto giusto e la torta di mele fresca, croccante e non stucchevole. Un momento piacevolmente unico, di estasi per gli occhi ed il palato, nella sala delle stagioni...

Fare una sosta al Florian non è fermarsi per una semplice consumazione, ma assaporare il profumo della storia e della tradizione. La deliziosa e bravissima orchestra che suona di fronte a te, la vista della fantastica Piazza San Marco ti riportano indietro nel tempo e le stupende decorazioni del locale fanno rivivere i fasti del passato. Le consumazioni sono ben presentate e di ottima qualità, il servizio impeccabile. Il prezzo è elevato, ma giustificato da ciò che è offerto. Il Florian merita comunque una sosta ! Imperdibile.
