Caffe Epoca In San lazzaro di savena

Historic place in San Lazzaro (at least historic for me, who remember it for as long as I can remember). Recently renovated and expanded (previously it had practically no seats inside), it has maintained the nice Art Nouveau style kiosk terrace and some outdoor tables. Very central location. In fact, it is always very busy and in some cases, such as on Saturday mornings, the staff appears a little tired. I recommend giving up table service as most cafes now do, focusing on the one at the counter. However, both the owner and the employees are always affable and available. Average pasta, good cafeteria, rich aperitif. If I have to make a note, I suggest greater care inside the outdoor area (various finishes and upholstery) which truly represents the strong point of the place and it is a shame not to fully exploit it.

I have been going to the Epoca bar for many years, excellent coffee and friendly staff.

The kids are always tidy, on everything from the breakfasts which are always full of every product of the morning. To then move on to lunch rigorously prepared by them. And then the aperitifs prepared with great skill.

When I go to San Lazzaro I always like to stop at Caffè Epoca... Sara's smile and kindness... the excellent coffee from the most glamorous barista on Via Jussi... who stands out for his elegance and his unmistakable moustache....if we weren't in San Lazzaro I would say I was in the center of Milano Marittima... Really good.
