A lovely little place located in Verona's historic center. You can stop here for a snack or an aperitivo, or even a quick lunch in a beautiful setting. The food is really good, excellent for a quick break. Definitely worth a try.

Caffè Coloniale is a historic café in Verona with a large outdoor terrace, heated in the winter with lamps. The hot chocolate is delicious and is available in both dark (rather liquid) and white (creamier) versions. One Saturday afternoon, I was here with some friends and we decided to share two desserts to accompany our hot chocolates. We chose a portion of Sacher torte and a slice of Pistocchi dark chocolate cake, served with whipped cream and ice cream. We loved the first, but the second was disappointing. When the slice of chocolate cake arrived, we were all a little disappointed, as we were expecting something different. The slice is really tiny and resembles a chocolate bar more than a proper cake. The vanilla ice cream that accompanied the cake tasted very chemical. Overall, we expected something better, especially considering the price tag on the menu.

My partner and I entered, drawn by the super-convenient two-glass aperitif package with a charcuterie board. We were greeted warmly and with an unmistakable friendly spirit. The products served were of high quality for a given price, and the charcuterie board featured delicious charcuterie! We were also impressed by the helpfulness and spontaneity of the staff, who were completely unpretentious and genuinely committed to ensuring our satisfaction. The staff were friendly and... spontaneous! In a place, no matter how high-quality, staff like them make all the difference. Thanks guys!
