Nice, well-stocked bar. The Neapolitan custom of "suspended coffee" is quite amusing, and it's practiced here. It's a shame about the bathroom, which doesn't lock, is small, and is unisex (during busiest hours, there's a long line).

This morning, my son and I entered a place that has always intrigued me. Excellent products, a warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the outside, it's reminiscent of old-fashioned cafes—elegant, discreet, with that charm that invites you to stop and savor life slowly.

Villa Abbamer - Ristorante

12/10/2025: A charming country house with period furnishings and antiques in the welcoming common areas. Discreet service and comfortable, clean rooms.
27/08/2025: A quiet and stunning villa just outside Frascati with a wonderful garden. The decor is reminiscent of old English villas, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the receptionist is very friendly.

Hotel Oxford

09/11/2025: Perfect location for all the sights. Easy access to buses metro trains but also on foot you can see all of Rome.
05/11/2025: Soooooo, there's a great deal of whiny criticism of this hotel in the reviews, so let's set the record straight. The lift, tiny, postage stamp sized only one person and suitcase fits. BUT they took our cases to the room for us. So we took the lift, and they showed us to our room. R Lift size issue null and void! Pretty damn good for the price. All the staff are incredibly warm and friendly. And helpful. Nothing was to much and they were full of useful local knowledge. The room - now then, its a ROOM not a apartment. There is ample space to sleep, to wash, to dress and then go and see the magnificent city you have decided to visit. I'm a 6ft biker with a belly and it was plenty comfy, spacious and I'd happily recommend. Food - unhappy? You're in Rome, go out the front door and pick a direction, there'll be something you like. All in all its a great base of operations for a wander around a city. Rosa on reception was particularly bright and helpful.
