WHERE IT'S LOCATED: Visiting the Capitoline Museums means immersing yourself in Rome's millennia-old history, among ancient statues, Renaissance paintings, and rooms that showcase the power of the Eternal City. A special place where visitors can take a break and admire Rome from above and the evocative Caffarelli Terrace. THE CAPITOLINA CAFETERIA: Here you can enjoy coffee, pastries, and light dishes in an elegant and tranquil setting. It's the ideal place to recharge your batteries before continuing your visit to the museum. PANORAMIC VIEWPOINT: The terrace offers a panoramic view of ancient Rome, including monuments such as the Vittoriano, the Capitoline Hill, and the rooftops of the historic center. FUN FACT: DID YOU KNOW...? The terrace takes its name from the Caffarelli family, who owned a palace in this area in the 17th century. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: I've come to this spot every time I've visited these important museums in the city. Last time, I enjoyed an excellent breakfast at the tables, including a cappuccino and a croissant with jam. DISCOVERING HIDDEN ROME: This place can be defined as the "secret balcony of Rome," one of those places you discover by walking slowly, letting your curiosity guide you. A small, hidden terrace. The sandwiches are great. It's hardly ever there. And there's a superb terrace with a magnificent view.

Ah, their red berry cheesecake is a treat! And the view from the terrace is amazing. I love this place. And the Capitoline Museums too 😀.

Great sunset drink location. Aperitivo drinks were ok - priced for the view. Francesca was very cordial & attentive - thanks to her we received service….the other staff little care.

We chose Terrazza Caffarelli for a light wedding lunch. The guests loved the food, the service was impeccable, and of course, the panoramic view of Rome is self-explanatory! The cost was also reasonable, considering the venue's prestige. The only downside: it was difficult to communicate with management from the beginning, both by phone and email. We also requested a delivery address for the supplier of the confetti (sweets) that was supposed to be delivered; we were sent the wrong address, and after we requested a change, we were never contacted again. Luckily, the supplier was able to get through because the police understood the situation.

La familia estadounidense de seis personas disfrutó del museo durante varias horas en un día de más de 95 grados. Elegimos comer en su comedor al aire libre (patio), porque la vista era realmente exquisita! Nuestro servidor, Maurizio, estaba en la cima de todas nuestras necesidades! Él estaba atento, ofreció sugerencias, y en general se añadió a nuestro disfrute total! Teníamos fetuccino boloñés y el pollo al curry. ¡Todo estaba delicioso! Confía en mí, si vienes a este museo, ¡debes cenar aquí!
