29/07/2024: We were looking for accommodation in a place where we could visit cities such as Florence and Siena by train. This is how we ended up at Osteria del Vicario in the old part of Certaldo. We were pleasantly surprised by Erik's hospitality and friendly service. Breakfast is not in the form of a buffet, but you are served by the host. The room was clean. In our opinion it was warm, which is understandable because no air conditioning is allowed due to the (surrounding) medieval buildings. The room does have a fan. Thanks again, Erik, for the warm welcome and excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a charming and authentic place to stay in Tuscany.
