Cafè Martèl In Verona

I passed by a couple of weeks ago, and I noticed that the croissants that cost €1.50 until a few weeks ago now cost €1.80. The quality is always the same (I've been going to the place occasionally for years), I don't understand why. I had heard that the chef had changed, I don't know if this is actually the case, but I noticed a change in the custard. Then the tall lady with gray hair at the counter who usually NEVER greets me, not even when I always say good morning to her, the last time strangely greeted me three times in a row, even with a bow. At a certain point I turned around because I thought someone else had entered😂. I am a young girl who dresses in a sporty way, I have always seen the lady in question cute with others, especially if of a certain age and with a certain outfit, but not with me. I noticed that a kind and smiling gentleman was present at the counter, who greeted me (perhaps the owner?), which could explain the lady's anomalous attitude... However, with the old price of croissants there was no competition but with this one, things change. Still a nice place, good service (the last time I set foot there), but the price of the croissants is high compared to other pastry shops, even if in line with those in the historic center, even if let's say that before it was more accessible.

We went in looking for a warm place, on a Saturday afternoon during the Immaculate Conception weekend. Despite the crowd, the waitress who welcomed us did so with kindness and efficiency. Then, and only then, we ordered the panzerotto… and it was perfect!!! 😀

Chocolate with super cream for €4.50 deca cappuccino with soy milk in a medium-small cup €3.5!! Prices a little strange... But nice place 2 steps from the Verona Arena!

Excellent breakfast both for the desserts and for the orange juice, moreover at a more than honest price. But what makes the big difference is the courtesy of all the staff, which is now more unique than rare. 5 star experience

The most delicious tiramisu I have tried so far in Italy is well balanced, their coffee is delicious, and their reception is good

We had breakfast early and 10! Great coffee and croissants, whichever is better... The only thing, the price issue is a little unbalanced...

Estábamos escapando del calor opresivo de Verona cuando nos encontramos con este café ocupado. El servicio fue excelente y los pasteles deliciosos. ¡Además el aire - la estafa fue malvada!

Muy buena cafetería para sentarse y disfrutar de un café y un poco de dulce. Me divertí mucho y volvería de nuevo
