Restaurant on the square opposite the duomo. The pasta and risotto are very good, the pizzas are not exceptional, The Caesar salad is classic with too little sauce, the tiramisu is good. Here we pay for the setting more than the taste.

Hier speisten wir italienisch im Ausmaß von 3,5h mit 3 Gängen und allerhand zum Süffeln. Perfekte Lage mit fleissigem Personal und ausgesuchten Spezialitäten. Preis/Leistung vollkommen ok und wir bezahlten zu 2 ca. 230,00, die Hälfte davon aber den konsumieren Getränken geschuldet 🤩

Caffè del Tasso 1476 - Classic Caffè in the main square of Città Alta Bergamo. One of Italy's oldest cafes in the historic center. Maybe the oldest!! I was here during lunch, lots of tourists. Good and pleasant service. Ordered Vitello Tonnato and Casoncelli alla Bergamasca. Vitello tonnato is boiled sliced ​​veal with tuna sauce made from mayonnaise, lemon and possibly capers. Super delicious! Perfect for lunch. Casoncelli is stuffed pasta with pancetta, sage and browned butter. Here at Caffè del Tasso 1476, it is incredibly good. Double macchiato after the meal was 10/10!! Will come back tomorrow again and try the croissant 😅 Can highly recommend Caffé del Tasso 1476

Traditional trattoria at the Piazza Vecchia. We had a lunch at the terrace. My wife had a gnocchi with pesto and I tried the famous polenta with porcini. The food was delicious the service average.

Wir hatten in Bergamo nach einem stilvollen Lokal in der Altstadt gesucht und dieses gefunden. Angefangen vom Wein bis zum Essen war alles sehr gut und am Ende auch bezahlbar -- nicht überreizt, denn die Location auf dem Piazza Vecchia würde höhere Preise erlauben (vielleicht weil wir auch gerade aus der Schweiz kamen ;-)) Tolles Ambiente, Livemusik von einem Straßenmusiker -- ein herrlicher Abend.

Restaurant touristique avec un service correct mais rien d authentique, sinon le cafe. Surtout evitez la pizza qui n est meme pas meilleure qu en dehors de l Italie...quelle deception!
