I appreciated that despite it being winter, the place was open. The window displays were sad and decrepit, probably looted by previous customers. I thought the prices were a bit high, the place had a lovely view, and the stars were all for the lady who served the tables, who was always present, knowledgeable, and very polite.

Trendy place; well-stocked, from drinks to food, both sweet and savory, delicious ice cream, excellent coffee, etc.
The only drawback is that prices are a bit high, even out of season.
The place is beautiful, facing the sea.

One of the few places that serves fresh croissants (not frozen and reheated ones), which are also excellent quality (although a bit overstuffed, which makes them difficult to eat without getting dirty...). Friendly service (even at the table) and a lovely outdoor terrace with plenty of tables overlooking the sea.

A truly lovely place with a beautiful view of the sea, and the staff is exemplary. And what can I say about the breakfasts? I had the opportunity to try various items, from the classic croissant to the doughnut. The fillings are incredibly generous, but even more importantly, the quality of the fillings is among the best in the area, in my opinion. The prices are low compared to the local average for the quality and quantity of the product they offer. What can I say? If you want to relax while admiring the beauty of this sea and enjoy breakfast or an aperitif with friends, "CAFÈ DEL MAR" is the place to be.

It's often the traditional pastries, crafted with care, that make a bar/café unforgettable.
Caffe del Mar in Santa Maria al Bagno offers a welcoming atmosphere, ideal for a relaxing break.
Special praise goes to the mostaccioli, which are simply SUPER! They're incredibly soft, rich with the traditional aroma of spices and chocolate, honoring the Salento tradition. They're perfect with a good coffee or a typical amaro.
Highly recommended!
