I recommend making a reservation given the somewhat small size.
The service is fast and the prices are fair for its central location and the quality of the food.

Had lunch today at this small restaurant in the heart of Bologna. The cured meats were truly excellent, the service impeccable, and the staff attentive and very kind. They also offer some gluten-free options.

Ca' Pelleti on Via Altabella is a small restaurant on a central street parallel to Via Rizzoli. It serves customers on two floors, in a small space with several tables, where they sit very close together. The staff is young and didn't give me a positive impression upon entering, with a cold welcome that suggested an unhealthy and tense working environment. The wait for our food was longer than it should have been. Four of us were on our lunch break, and we ordered two different dishes. The meatballs were delicious!! The tortellini were beautiful to look at. If I were to return, I hope to find a different atmosphere; it's become a very touristy place with little attention to detail.

A truly welcoming and friendly place in the center of Bologna. The atmosphere is intimate and warm, and the staff are extremely friendly. We ordered an appetizer, their specialty, cappelletti, and finally a mascarpone dessert. However, the service was very slow; almost an hour passed between the appetizer and the main course, while other tables were being served as normal. The kitchen organization definitely needs to be reassessed.
