A very nice restaurant with friendly service. The food was excellent.

Rich menu of typical local dishes prepared with care. Attentive and friendly staff. Excellent house wine. Crowded place even though it was Wednesday: reservations are recommended. Balanced quality/price ratio. I will return.

We had a perfectly good lunch here after visiting the castle. We enjoyed some tasty starters and main dishes typical of Gorizia. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely great value! The waiter was very nice—her English wasn’t the best, but she made up for it with pure enthusiasm. She had the kind of smile that could brighten anyone’s day.

Returning to this tavern made me rediscover the typical flavors and aromas of my childhood in Gorizia. Simple but very tasty dishes with excellent raw materials. Excellent quality/price ratio. Genuine, kind and thoughtful service. I will definitely go back. I highly recommend.

A pranzo con alcuni colleghi. Molte e le proposte del menù, tutte legate alla tradizione. La Lubianska, piatto tipico della zona, era eccellente: tenera la carne che avvolgeva un ripieno di prosciutto e formaggio dal sapore ricco. Anche i contorni si sono rivelati all'altezza: le patate in tecia, morbide e saporite, e il radicchio rosa di Gorizia, servito con uova sode e pancetta croccante, hanno creato un perfetto equilibrio di sapori. Ad accompagnare il tutto, un Cabernet della casa, di buona qualità, capace di esaltare i piatti senza sovrastarli. E poi i dolci: le palacinke, soffici e golose, la Gubana goriziana, e accompagnata da un pregevole Verduzzo di Ramandolo. Il servizio cordiale e attento, e il rapporto qualità-prezzo più che soddisfacente, considerando la cura nella preparazione e la qualità degli ingredienti. Peccato che il locale non sia aperto per la cena.

Historic place, where the dishes are very good. The risotto with a mix of delicate herbs is also super. Even the wonderful desserts. I suggest booking. Excellent welcome, kindness and helpfulness.

Locale piacevole, personale cortese e preparato, servizio veloce, menù interessante e appetitoso, ottimi piatti dall’antipasto al secondo e al dolce. Buoni vini del Collio.
