Typical Reggio restaurant where you can rarely find tourists or non-residents. What you hear speaking in the air is neither German nor French but simply the Reggio dialect. Here you can breathe a homely atmosphere and local foods, familiar as if a grandmother cooked them for you with such care and love. You will find the typical cuisine of Reggio Emilia: from the herbazzone (which must be requested and made to order first) to the classic lasagne, tagliatelle, etc... up to the trifle. The patron, Mr. Stefano runs the restaurant with a particular frown on the production of Lambruscos! A true oenological science!!! Here I tasted some unobtainable and extraordinary Lambruscos that were fabulous. Authentic masterpieces to accompany with cuisine produced by expert hands. It is a place that I occasionally frequent because of friends and work collaborators. For me, meeting here is a dive into the history and beating heart of this extraordinary city: Reggio Emilia, which I carry in my heart for a thousand and one thousand years. Highly recommended

Nonostante l'aspetto inganni Burani è una vera e propria istituzione a Reggio. È anche uno dei pochi posti dove si mangiano piatti tipici della tradizione reggiana fatti a regola d'arte. Se il posto ha un aspetto retro non vuol dire che si debba pagare poco, anzi, la qualità si deve pagare. Quindi se cercate un posto da quattro soldi andate altrove che ce n'è pieno. Il locale, proprio perche si mangia molyo bene, è frequentato sia da operai che da dirigenti d'azienda, qualcosa vorrà dire...

Typical Reggio Emilia trattoria with delicious food! Fresh pasta and desserts handmade by the owner
Extensive list of quality wines (get advice from the owner who is very good at this too)
Perfect service! Everyone is kind and nice
I had such a good time that it has now become a habit to go there, and it has become traction to celebrate my birthday there every year... wonderful!

The simplicity and authenticity of the dishes in this restaurant are impeccable: handmade pasta, both dry and stuffed, perfectly cooked meats, excellent desserts obviously made by them, incredible staff, absolutely worth returning
