Super traditional, a true taste of Trieste cuisine. I've been before and it was a pleasant return with the whole family, who thoroughly enjoyed it. Attentive and very helpful staff, always busy, but no one will rush you. Reservations aren't possible, so plan accordingly. Arrive early or expect a bit of a wait. La Caldaia is always highly recommended.

I had lunch there several times during my stay in Trieste: the caldarrosta misto and jota soup were very good. Everything was reasonably priced and the service was super fast. It's worth it!

Amazing meat delicates! Unfortunately they don't have orange juice, just orange with carrot and in small bottles. But I think Italians just don't drink fresh juice generally 💁‍♀️

A Trieste landmark, it focuses primarily on meat and pork dishes. The "caldo" (stewed meat) with its selection of boiled meats is definitely recommended.
