Buffet Al Rebechin In Trieste

Be sure to go when you come to Trieste. There are about 3-4 menu items of the day for about 8 euros per meal (each menu is slightly different, but in any case, it is 10 euros less as of March 2025), and above all, the owner is friendly and speaks good English! On the first day, I went there not long before dinner was finished, and even though they had cleaned up everything, they made cicchetti for me. When I went to eat lunch today, they recognized me right away, said hi again, and explained the menu in full. When I said I wanted to try Trieste's traditional food, he also recommended a menu!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Storico buffet triestino aperto nel 1986 e anche segnalato positivamente da varie guide gastronomiche italiane. L'ubicazione è lungo un viale cittadino molto trafficato, ma il parcheggio nei dintorni non è impossibile. L'interno ha poca capienza, però si mangia nella veranda esterna riscaldata: i tavoli sono molto ravvicinati e l'ambiente è piuttosto rumoroso. "Rebechin" significa spuntino a Trieste, quindi vi si può entrare in qualunque momento della giornata e mangiare qualcosa. Si possono trovare le tipiche specialità della città (il venerdì anche pesce), preparate in maniera casalinga. Consiglio gli gnocchi di patate fatti in casa con gulasch: buona porzione e piatto ricco sostanzioso. Peccato che all'una di pranzo i dessert fossero già terminati. Le birre sono nella media. Non accettano prenotazioni, poiché la rotazione dei tavoli è piuttosto veloce. Il servizio è spedito e senza fronzoli, come del resto il locale. I prezzi sono onesti.
