The best food in Sorrento! We came back three times because everything was so delicious. Silvana and Blas are wonderful hosts who make you feel welcome from the start. Don't miss the empanadas (a 10/10), the entraña, or the bife de chorizo. Everything was perfect! Thank you for everything -Irela and Mathi from Costa Rica 🇨🇷

On our final night staying in Sorrento, we decided to have a steak in this lovely restaurant. We were well looked after from the moment we arrived, the steak dinner was delicious & would highly recommend, along with the jug of Sangria we chose. If you are looking for a friendly, cosy place to eat whilst visiting Sorrento, this restaurant is definitely worth a try, five stars from us ⭐ 🌟 ⭐ 🌟 ⭐

09/03/2026: We returned to "Il Cavallino" after a while and noticed the improvement, especially with the first courses. We tried several first courses, which I think you'll have a chance to try again these days if the menu doesn't change. The seafood risotto, unlike anything you've ever tried, will make you fly, as will the seafood pasta and potatoes, and a treat that might be hard to find elsewhere: the seafood lardiata! For our second course, we opted for the classic mixed fried fish, which was very tasty and the fish was incredibly fresh. We also recommend the desserts, a treat you might only find in a pastry shop: tiramisu cannoli 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 and the ricotta and pear.
01/03/2026: Everything is perfect, the quality is consistently high, and the staff is incredibly helpful. Worth a try if you've never been.

Antico Girarrosto Ischitano

13/03/2026: Always delicious! The rotisserie chicken is fresh and fragrant, as are the skewers, pork neck, and porchetta! The side dishes are reminiscent of those you'd eat at an old friend's house... A special mention for the pizza!!! Peppe is fantastic! The prices are truly ridiculous! 100% recommended!
06/01/2026: My family and I had seen this place in passing every day on the way out of Porto when we caught the various busses to travel around the island. It fronts onto the busy road so is obviously very busy during the day. Do not, repeat NOT be put off by the location of this place, it is a fantastic little grill and the food is amazing and easy on the wallet. We had kebabs, chicken, fish, pizza, good God, so much really, really tasty food. Good service and friendly staff, what looks like a busy road side venue during the day turns into a great place to sit, relax and watch as people turn up to collect take away food. We didn't actually think we'd ordered that much, but had to take some home with us as we couldn't bear to leave it!!! To sum up, we spent a week on Ischia and dined all over the island, I can honestly say Antico Girarrosto Ischitano was by far the best place we had the pleasure to visit. Saluti Antico Girarrosto Ischitano!!!
