It is one of the oldest places to eat in Florence, and the particularity of the place proves it. Exceptional open kitchen and service and the food is simply perfect! A stop is a must if you are in the city.

Absolutely stunning restaurant with real authentic Firenze food.
The owner/staff were all so hospitable specially with our bambina picola!
We would definitely recommend and definitely come back on another trip to Florence.

Excelente comida en el "Restaurante más antiguo" de Florencia. Buca Lapi tiene un comedor único con decoraciones de patrón en carteles de viaje. La comida es tradicional y deliciosa. El servicio es bueno.
Empezamos con el fresco Maltagliati al basilico e pomodoro y el Canelón gratinati alla Buca Lapi. Ambas eran delicias de sabor completo.
Para nuestro plato fuerte, tuvimos el Osso Buco y el Polpette. Rico, sabroso y lleno.
Quedaba un poco de espacio así que compartimos el pastel de chocolate negro. Acabado perfecto.
Restaurante muy agradable con maravillosa comida toscana y el servicio a juego.

Restaurant recommended to us by our B&B... a real discovery! Attentive and trained staff, in a wonderful historic venue with a fully open kitchen. Delicious traditional Tuscan and Florentine dishes! Obviously I recommend the Florentine steak they masterfully prepare! Congratulations indeed, we will be back!

Amazing food and service
The steak is about 1kg for one person portion, did not manage to finish it but it’s great.
They also recommend nice wines to you, I asked a bottle for €70 but they recommended me a €45 great wine, so I will give the service 5✨

This is our third time in Florence but have never tried this place. We only had a light meal but it was fantastic, especially the bean and kale soup. We’ll have to come back for a proper meal.

Magnificent location in the center of Florence, a stone's throw from Piazza del Duomo, one of the 3 remaining historic holes.
Food (beautifully cooked mega Florentine steak and starters) TOP, Punctual, welcoming and very nice service.
Price, obviously not cheap but totally in line with expectations.
Truly excellent dinner, highly recommended!

Siamo riusciti a prenotare e la cena ha confermato le aspettative .abbiamo avuto il pregio di confrontarci sui piatti con il proprietario che fa della passione e della competenza il Suo punto di forza .
