A must-try for anyone seeking an authentic experience. We stumbled upon this place while strolling through the narrow streets of Matera. Traditional cuisine, generous and flavorful. And at the end, we even tasted an excellent amaro liqueur created by the chef.

A very successful culinary experience! The hosts welcomed us warmly in their small cafeteria! Since the restaurant functions as a cafeteria, the chef presented us with all the dishes prepared. For 20 euros we chose 3 dishes that were delicious. The entertainment was provided by a cat with a bow tie who was very attentive to whether we liked the food or not! Aperol, meatballs, green beans, lasagna and bread salad were our options and all were delicious. We received a delicious pumpkin, ginger and licorice liqueur on the house.

It was great! They're great and it's definitely worth it.
We wanted to leave a tip, but I was so good at getting by in Italian that I was embarrassed to ask how you say "to add a little to the menu."
Go there with your eyes closed, but your ears open.

We were there today – everything was great! We ate orecchiette – the pasta was very tasty, and the service was incredibly nice and friendly. At the end, our girls got lollipops from the lovely owner 😊 The prices were very affordable. We recommend this place wholeheartedly!

This is a real gem! They have absolutely delicious, home made food at very reasonable prices! The hostess was very warm and friendly. Best of all they are one of the few restaurants open past 14:00 and have much-needed air conditioning for those blistering days in Matera. We also enjoyed a glass of white wine. You order at the counter where the hostess will show what food they have to offer. The desserts also looked great!

Siamo ritornati a pranzo due giorni di seguito ed il motivo è semplice :
si mangia la cucina tipica lucana e la signora Giovanna è un personaggio che sa mettere a proprio agio il cliente. Vino rosso buono , prodotto dal marito, ambiente piccolo e non accetta prenotazioni. Per mangiare bisogna arrivare a mezzogiorno o alle 18,30.

La padrona di casa è una Attrazione! Bisogna andarci! Un pranzo casereccio particolare che ti rimane nel ❤️. Ti fa un piatto che ti jecchi i baffi e poi se vai col dolce...perfezioni!Plus in aggiunta: è nel ❤️ dei Sassi.Non tanti tavoli, è possibile che du debba aspettare che finiscano gli altri ma,...ne vale la pena!💯
