Ultimo giorno di vacanza. Ultima tappa prima di mettersi in strada Volterra, già visitata in passato ma in una brutta giornata. Arrivati quasi a mezzogiorno la fame si è fatta sentire e abbiamo cercato subito un posto che ispirava. Un po’ fuori dal centro, ma neppure tanto, abbiamo letto il menù di questo locale e siamo entrati. Bel posticino tranquillo e pulito, servizio sufficientemente rapido. Una pasta tipica del locale e un piatto di pici e come al solito tagliere di affettati per chiudere. Al posto del vino ovviamente due ottime birrette

We were welcomed by a very pleasant person. The quality cuisine is homemade. Beer is also brewed in house. The terrace on the Place du XX Septembre is typical and simply makes you want to come back. Don't hesitate if you pass by.

We recently left this wonderful place. The boy who served us, the cook's son, was very knowledgeable and kind. Rock climate and delicious beers, my boyfriend and I recommend it!

Wow. The most beautiful place in Volterra. If you come you absolutely must try the burger and beer tasting. I came with my boyfriend, and we can say that it was an unforgettable experience. The waiter, the cook's son, served us with passion and great charisma, explaining the beers for the tasting in detail. Perfect.

Beautiful and welcoming brasserie with a wide choice of delicious beers. Excellent food, excellent service, young atmosphere in a medieval niche. It needs updating and making using the toilet more pleasant and the environment would also deserve 5 stars.

The food was scarce and had a lot of pepper. The sauce seemed like it came from a jar. Overall, the quality didn't seem very good. The waiter was very friendly and attentive.

Siamo tornati a mangiare qui a distanza di 2 anni, accompagnati dal nostro lagotto, ricordandoci di una piacevolissima serata. I nostri ricordi sono stati superati da un menu ottimo (peposo e pasta ubriaca) e da una selezione di birre artigianali eccezionale (io personalmente sono andato fuori di testa per la stout!!!). Dulcis in fundo, il dessert "manna cotta" era squisito (sempre a tema stout). Ringrazio il personale per averci regalato un'altra serata deliziosa. Spero di poterci tornare presto!

30/01/2025: This pastry bar is a little jewel in the heart of one of the liveliest squares in the city. It overlooks Piazza delle Vettovaglie, which makes it the ideal place for a relaxing coffee break, especially in the morning when the square slowly comes to life. The offer is wide and varied, with a vast choice of sweet and savory pieces. Particular praise goes to the own production of many products, including bread. The family management of the place is another strong point: the lady at the counter is always ready to welcome customers with a smile and a kind word, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It is not surprising that this bar has become a point of reference for many residents of the area, who regularly frequent it for a quick coffee or a chat with friends.
14/12/2024: Fresh bread and pastries. As well as quick breakfasts and lunches. Courtesy and kindness. Prices aligned but with the advantage of direct production. Lots of tourists at lunch (better to book if possible). UPDATE December 2024: less chaos and therefore you can enjoy the tranquility and coolness of Piazza delle Vettovaglie at least until 11am 😉👍🌞 August definitely open in the morning.

16/01/2025: The beer is delicious, the burgers' buns are something else - it's like an Italian traditional bread is meeting the aroma ingredients of the whole burger composition - exquisite! Don't miss the roasted potatoes ;)
29/12/2024: Super sandwiches, very low prices! The baked potatoes are essential and have the brown barley craft beers. A reliable little place where you always feel good! Desserts that can be improved.
