Typical L'Aquila trattoria, with a characteristic interior and vaulted ceiling...well lit, excellent food and well-served dishes...for pasta lovers, the choice of 220g portions is special, Angus arrosticini are recommended at very reasonable prices considering the quality...highly recommended.

A trattoria with excellent food and generous portions, at very reasonable prices. The place is a bit small, and the single, unisex bathroom isn't always clean, but the rest is satisfactory: tasty dishes and friendly service. Recommended if you're looking for quality and quantity without spending too much.

Delicious food, you can tell they use quality ingredients. My first course was excellent, my husband had the lamb with cheese and eggs, which was incredibly tender—never tasted so good. I also loved the arrosticini; they tasted like mutton! Nowadays, we tend to use lamb to avoid such a strong flavor, but I really enjoyed these traditional arrosticini with their old-fashioned flavor!

A trattoria right in the city center, recommended by the B&B host. A cute place, the menu didn't initially excite me, but the food was good. The handmade spaghetti amatriciana was spectacular, and delicious to mop up with bread. The cured meats and cheeses on the platter were also excellent. The meat was good, and the desserts were also homemade.

02/11/2025: Exceptional, excellent service. The lady in the dining room was very helpful and welcoming, making you feel at home. The food was superb; we chose the six-course tasting menu, which guests can choose from, as long as they share the same dishes for the table. Each course lived up to expectations, even more. We also really appreciated that the homemade bread, which was delicious, was brought only with the main courses, so we didn't have to fill up first and could fully appreciate each course. The wine pairing was recommended by the lady who proved to be extremely knowledgeable. High-end dining with excellent value.

La Vecchia Stazione

22/02/2026: A very beautiful and well-kept place. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the girls are incredibly nice and professional. The appetizers are superb. The meat is excellent.
21/02/2026: I was there recently with my family. I couldn't stay past 9 pm, so I mentioned the issue when I booked. I was reassured about the service times, and they maintained them throughout the dinner. Even though there were other tables to be served, they allowed me to enjoy appetizers, first courses, meat-based main courses, and desserts, all of which were served impeccably. The staff was always discreet and attentive, promptly fulfilling our orders. The first courses were good, but what impressed us most was the quality of the meat and desserts.
