È stato un po' difficile trovare il locale, per noi era la prima volta che andavamo. Locale pulito, carino, personale molto gentile ed educato. Molto buona la tagliata,cotta come da noi richiesto, buona e fresca la salsiccia e le bombette scelte. Tutto buono. Rapporto qualità prezzo un po' alto rispetto alla media.

I went to this place a few days ago with friends. The place appears welcoming and well-kept. The display of meat in the butcher's counter is very neat and well organised. A good choice of meat varieties and types: strips, bombetta, sausage, etc. Good choice of starters too. Good and average cuisine. The price is good, lower than other places of this type.

21/04/2025: We spent Easter Monday here with a fixed menu, which I would say is convenient. The start wasn't the best given the unprofessional and friendly welcome and the inconceivable wait to start lunch, in any case they made up for it but the fact remains that with 90 people only three on duty are few because the wait was long as was the way of serving, without logic. But all in all we didn't eat badly and the music made the day enjoyable. I think that for a complete judgment I will have to go back to the paper. At the moment I give a passing grade.
09/03/2025: Excellent piñata party with SUPER complete menu and review of first and second courses of mimosa cake on request. A special applause to the owner for the respect she shows me and to the waitress, the only one to serve around forty people without anyone noticing for the high professionalism, education and speed demonstrated.! Antica Osteria Santa Chiara "La Grotta"

28/04/2025: Sono stata in questo ristorante con mia figlia di 11 anni, siamo rimaste sbalordite (parole sue) dalla loro bravura e dalla bellezza del piano di sotto dove abbiamo cenato. Abbiamo preso la pasta fritta come antipasto, non ricordo il nome, poi orecchiette cime di rapa e spaghetti con polpette, acqua e un calice di vino, 24€. Pensavo avessero sbagliato a fare il conto da quanto era poco. Tutto buono e personale gentile
30/12/2024: Posizione del locale comodissima, in pieno centro di Altamura. Ottima la carne, qualità degli antipasti e del pane servito invece migliorabile. Vino della casa di buona qualità. Con piccoli miglioramenti l'osteria potrà crescere tanto.
